Yes, Jones has been wrong a lot but more so on the recruiting side, not with the current guys that are on roster.

Nope. I'm just suggesting that he says what he hears just like every other media member. Nobody has a real crystal ball.

So, Jones is saying that he initially wanted to go but now might change his mind and stay. Do you all honestly not see what he’s doing here? How does Jones come out wrong with either outcome? He’s like those posters that leave these cryptic messages about recruits, not saying anything definitively.

I completely disagree. We need 1 of 2 things to happen - A. Knox returns maybe diallo or SGA do as well but they aren't as important B. Those 3 leave BUT we add Hagans and no else leaves. If one of those 2 things happens then we are at worst co favorites to win it . KU would of been favorites hands down but Newman left. I honestly expect Knox, SGA and Diallo to leave and am fine with that BUT the vital thing is adding Hagans and possibly EJ. Next year's team then would have 2 of the 5-8 best big men in PJ and Vanderbilt along with good players like Gabriel and SKJ, Richards . We would studs like Quick , hagans and green at guard and offensive weapons in Herro and Baker. That is a loaded roster. Name a roster more loaded? Maybe KU . Nova won't be as they are going to lose 1-4 guys to the NBA and Duke is 4 freshmen and wait for it ......Bolden LMAO.

Presuming we lose all 3 we think we will but get everyone back the preseason top 5 IMO would look like
1. KU 2. UK 3. UT 4. Duke 5. Nova Auburn would of been at 4 but Herron went pro.

Jones is just being smart. The smart money is he and Shai leaves. If he comes out and even gives an inkling that either might be leaning to coming back, and they don't, he would be ripped to shreds about it. If he says they are gone and they come back, everyone will forget what Matt said.

I agree, that way it’s only good news. My only real fear is if they all do go, there aren’t enough quality uncommitted players to fill the voids. Have to get a few back and I feel like we will for some strange reason this year.

Jones was the only person saying Knox isn't 100% going to Duke and don't be surprised if he picks UK

If you can't admit Jones has inside sources, then you clearly have something personal against him

I listened and MJ said really he had nothing like he has had in the past with other classes. Maybe Friday will be our first clue on how this shakes out.

Tucker had an entire story with interviews with the Knox family. Jones had guesswork from "sources", who then promptly changed his prediction after Tucker's story was posted.

I don't like either of them. So it's not as if I'm biased in some way. Tucker isn't out in front on everything. But he is on some things.

Jones used to have spot on inside info. Not anymore. Since Antigua left he's missed on nearly every prediction. That tells me he actually has no source in the program. The program tells him, and others, what they want them to know. So he's on par with anyone else that covers uk

And if I remember correctly the ONLY reason that happened was the threat of an NBA lockout, otherwise they would both have been gone after their freshman year too. I would love to be shocked and Knox return for another run but I just can’t fathom a guy projected that high on draft boards to pass up the money. I wish the NBA would just let them go straight out of high school or implement a 2 year minimum stay if players go to college.

Y’all silly. Don’t listen to Matt Jones... listen to our very own board insider @Conn501 - he’s got the biggest scoops.

Remember when his source told him Knox was going pro? Well yeah!! Not ONLY does Pepperidge farm remember but we all remember too. We are all witnesses.

His same source also said Zion, Reddish and Barrett will declare after next season and he ALSO predicted Ayton and Young would declare this year. What did Ayton and Young do you ask? Well they effing declared for the draft!


Between Conn and Coach , we don’t even need to
