Herein lies the ridiculous posting that is a result of a open forum allowing anyone who wants to join and post. Here's is a guy who is not mostly illiterate, but also has no take. Maybe our board should have more standards when allowing bozos to just come on here and post.

That was really smart. Making a completely ridiculous post to prove your point. I get it. I think I just might have as much right as you to post whatever I want. I would further say, regardless of the standard used, you might be surprised which one of us got cut first. But thanks for playing.

Thanks. Like most, I have been reading for a long time. I feel like I know some of the posters here and admire their knowledge and fandom. I also see the other side and knew what I was getting into. I thought I could handle it- we will see.
It really was just an odd year and few weeks where we seemed to be seeing a lot of other Wildcats out there. I get it’s not the usual posts here.

Maybe, maybe not. I only researched us and too lazy to look see all the others. I did learn something new on when/why we are THE Wildcats. Interesting note brought up by another here.

Don’t we all have to join sometime? You could also say I joined right before the offseason to stay informed or right after a loss because misery loves company.
i doubt some troll would really try to undermine our team by such a crazy idea. Maybe I’m typing this from Russia trying to unsettle the fabric of the wildcat faithful. Trust me, I will post some dumb stuff, but I bleed KY blue.

Sorry to have an opinion or want to ask a question. Perhaps I should have just started another post with who o think leaves or how much I hate Duke? I’ve just always hated that other teams have our same name. Other schools take a great deal of pride being the only one and being known just by their mascot.
At least you said maybe, I guess.

How about the Kentucky Hillbillies or Moonshiners. That would be original.

Actually, I think it's an interesting topic. I'm more on the make others change their name bandwagon lol. However, I do get annoyed with hearing about other wildcats, when we are THE wildcats. I mean NKU, the Norse, don't think I really hear that much. Luckily, our program stands out because we are the program. My high school also, the wildcats, so I couldn't imagine being anything else. Judging from the history, looks like others tried to imitate us, as always. Sorry, random thoughts together there. It would've been neat to have a unique name, but now there is no going back. When we are talking college basketball, when someone hears the wildcats, we are the first program that comes to mind and that's all that matters. Oh, and happy Easter everybody, hope you enjoy it with your friends and family.

Wildcats are real, and in the frontier days were a genuine danger. They actually killed people on occasion. I doubt this has ever been true in the areas like Philadelphia, Kansas, or Arizona.
