Nova obviously. Other game is a tossup. I kind of prefer Michigan, but Loyola making the title game would be an amazing story. They would have almost no chance of beating the winner of the other game though.

Don’t care but he’s there and we aren’t. Sick of our fans talking **** about other coaches when they beat us or go further
You're sick of something you read on a messageboard yet you still actively participate and read the same messageboard that makes you sick? Sounds about right.

My favorite team: Not Duke

The rest just doesn't make much difference.

Your logic and existence are both terrible. Show me where I said this board makes me sick or STFU

Self is 30-5 when he has 5 days to prepare for an opponent in the tourney

I don't think that that stat will have much bearing on tonight's game though really.

Nova has equal talent and experience. Duke may have had more potential talent, and the refs in their pocket, but Nova can fill the basket from behind the 3 point line nearly as well as KU- an area they have a distinct advantage over just about 99.9% of the rest of CBB.

For KU to be successful, they are going to have to dictate pushing the tempo to a faster pace, and create turnovers. Nova has a surprisingly slow as molasses offensive tempo & possessions per 40 minutes average.
If the officials call a tight whistle, it will definitely hurt KU's chances far greater absent one of KU's deep threats going off like Newman did against Duke, or Nova has a really off night shooting the ball.

The hilarity of Duke fans crying about the refs in last week's game knows no bounds in dripping with irony.

Speaking of the refs, I saw on twitter a discussion about the refs when KU & Nova played in the tournament in 2016, and the suspect calls that eventually led to Graham fouling out.

One of the KU beat writers did a write up and gif'd the calls.

http://m.kusports.com/weblogs/chase...nte-grahams-foul-out-vs-vil/?templates=mobile

All 5 calls against him were questionable at best, and 4 of them were in the midst of Nova turning over the ball.
From a 3rd party objective view I think 2 of them were maybe legit even if they weren't definitive.
Pretty big deal when it costs you one of your most important perimeter players; not to mention those negated turnovers could be 12 - 18 point swing in the score, and even if you were being super conservative, that's at minimum 6 points!

Hopefully it's a good game, and I honestly think it's a push matchup. If they played 10 times, it wouldn't shock me to see each team end up winning 5 outta 10.

The tempo and how tightly the game is called IMO is going to be the best predictor of the likely outcome.

I still think people are sleeping on Michigan far too much, as if it's a done deal that the Nova / KU winner will win the championship. And, if Loyola is playing Monday, I definitely wouldn't count them out. Clearly 5 other teams that are supposed to be more talented made that same mistake, and in a single elimination tournament after 5 games in, there's more than just dumb luck at play in advancing that far.

Hopefully they are awesome games and some good basketball to watch!

If either Loyola or Michigan win it all I’ll win my office pool. And I’m sooo over the Sister Jean lovefest. So, go Wolverines!

Why anybody would say KU is beyond me...they already try to claim Helms titles as legit Natty's when they're bogus

It needs to be Loyola so there's no threat to our Title supremacy ;)

KU fan complaining about officiating after refs turn 6 losses into wins this year for the corrupt cheating Jailhawks is beyond laughable.

I’m for Nova. I was a Jayhawk fan for 1 day last week, but no more. I’d love to see Loyola win it all. Seems very unlikely, but people have been saying they have no chance for 4 straight games, and here they are. If not I’m OK with Michigan or Villanova.

normally i’d pick ku to ride it out for having had the best elite win of the bunch, but nova is just a really bad matchup for them. they’re so quick and move the ball so well. i agree with above poster. ku needs newman to go off.

I think this is 2002 all over again.

Nova and KU is the de facto title game.

Both teams will expend a ton of energy — and while whoever wins Nova/KU should beat Michigan/Loyola, the game won’t be as big of a separation as you would expect because they’ll be tired from Saturday’s slug fest.

That’s the only way IU hung with Maryland in 2002. Maryland was far superior, but they had played a national title game two days earlier.

I hope Kansas lats a big egg and Rc gets banned

Schwaggy is a big boy. Doesn’t need you to wipe his nose. And if we lay an egg in the Final Four, it is still a better season than most. Plus, Kansas picks up at least five games on the all-time NCAA victories list.

But you'll still be 5 titles behind us.
