Interesting. You can’t see ANY scenario where Knox is drafted top 5? Why is that?

I don't see his mentality changing SO much so, that he turns into a Kobe-esque scorer.. And the NBA loves taking freshman in the top5. They'll be enamored with Reddish, Zion, Cam.. heck maybe even KJ form what I'm hearing. I think cracking that top5 will be tough.. you rarely see a sophomore in there.

No way. Jose.

No way what? Do people not understand the importance of knees and feet?

This young guy actually has a parent that was a pro, so he will know how the league works. Also word is h is family is NOT in the financial bind some kids families are.
He will get good info. I feel that Knox doesn't have a feeding crew around him the way Noel was reputed to have.

Not if the players being evaluated are close to the same age, though. Knox is very young still. He's only three weeks older than Cam Reddish.

Its a toss up. He has a beautiful game and can finish around the rim. He was the main priority on D for most teams. It comes down to does he wanna settle at a top 15 pick or come back and maybe become a top 6-10 pick.

If you look at all of the 2018 NBA Mock Draft boards Kevin Knox can go anywhere from #10 to #20 just depends on which team wants a certain player. SGA is about the same as Knox.

I think if everyone looks at players who has a history of nagging injuries to having multi Knee Injuries and surgeries or Feet and ankle problems then they might go if they are healthy at time of Draft and are 1st round. Take Vanderbilt since Junior in High School he had multiple problems with his foot and ankle. I think if your 1st round and healthy at time of draft then you put your name in the Draft.

Kevin Knox has been extremely healthy through his High School play and now in College so its not like he had multiple Knee or Feet Injuries or Surgeries and is healthy so lets get my name in the draft while I am Healthy. There are players that each year that are Injury Prone throughout there High School years and College Play so that player probably would decide to put his name in the Draft if he is 1st round and healthy at time of draft. Kevin Knox just reminds me of a player that has always been healthy and hasn't had a history of injuries and surgeries during his playing years. So, that is why I think he could stay and help climb up to a Top 5 - 8 pick next year 2019 NBA draft. Kevin Knox also has 2 parents that has College and have good jobs and don't financial help like some players family. That is why some players leave for the NBA to help there family financially.

In both cases here Kevin Knox in being Healthy and not being Injury-Prone throughout his Career of playing basketball and his Family being OK financially he can come back if he wants to and enjoy another season of basketball at UK. I think Knox is a type of player that loves the College basketball atmosphere, UK, the Coaches, and the fans at UK and knows once NBA is there it is your job and even though your enjoying the sport you love and getting paid he loves the competition of NCAA Basketball. I hope he makes a decision that makes him happy and just like Miles Bridges last year with Michigan State I hope he returns for another run with Kentucky.

If he’s projected to go somewhere between 15-20 this year and maybe moves up 10 spots for 2019 what’s the real gamble? At worst he stays where he is projected now and gets to enjoy college life for another year. I get the sense that his father understands how valuable his college experience was after playing in the cutthroat world of professional sports. Plus, isn’t he only 17? Or recently turned 18?
Knox is gone. When he and his father sit down with their advisors, it will be an easy decision.

Well for starters.. He's projected in the lottery, not in the 15-20 range. And yes, he can very well climb into the top10 next year, I can't see any scenario where Knox is taken top 5.

He's much closer to his draft ceiling than his draft floor.

You very well may be correct.
But.....what you are not considering is how prepared to CONTRIBUTE to an NBA team he is. Why is that a consideration? Because it determines how much of that 1st contract he spends on the bench or in the G/D-league, which affects the SIZE of that 2nd contract! Getting to the 2nd contract 1 year sooner doesn't help, if doing so makes it a much smaller contract.

I never dreamed he would even entertain the thought of coming back. I hope he does, however I will support any decision he and his family come to. He will always be a CAT in my book.
