Louisville finally recovered from Stockholm Syndrome, Jurich and Pitino being the primary offenders, although the fan base should also blame itself.

Most people with sense have been saying for 10 years that U of L doesn't realize its own worth as a top-10 program. They let Pitino and his ego take them hostage.

Their occasional wild self-aggrandizement belied an inferiority complex that made them think that they could never attract a top-notch coach if it wasn't Pitino.

Looks like they finally woke up. I hope they lost a lot of the trash / bandwagon segment of their fan base along the way.

The U of L fans I grew up with and who are now middle-age were always sensible and smart, and didn't like the way U of L treated Crum and bent over for Pitino.

-Between games, I conducted an unscientific survey, and politely asked about 7 different groups of Duke fans why they rooted for Duke. None had a connection to the university. They were all like people who grew up in (for example) Iowa who, for some reason, are NY Yankees fans.

That is scientific enough for me to make broad generalizations about the entire fan base.

Always curious about what coaches’ wives look like. Googling Mack’s is one of those you need to remember not to do on a work laptop.

Went to high school with Mack’s wife. Nice girl, went to St Dennis

He came to our 20th HS reunion and didn’t really talk to anyone. Much much smaller guy than I thought he would be. Lil Chris Mack

I'm sure you've figured this out, but that's not her, btw. Probably not going to be a popular take, but they're actually very nice, very normal people.

And he's like 6'4"... So not really short. He does, however, have a number of fairly short assistants that might make him seem like he should be taller.

Talk smack about Self all you want, but the way KU attacked Duke’s zone was a thing of beauty. Now granted, it just kind of looked like they made an entry pass to the free throw line and the player either shot, attacked the rim, or kicked out for a three, but still, there are coaches making $7M+ / yr who struggle with that.
So you’re saying the player at the free throw line did one of his only 3 options, pass, dribble or shoot? Solid breakdown.

I think he was implying that when you flash to the middle of a zone, it depends on how the defense reacts, and based upon that reaction, you choose one of those 3 options. For players to recognize the correct option in a half second relies upon solid coaching, again, what Wayne was implying.

Example: if the zone collapses in to the weak spot where the player catches it, you can kick it out for an open three. If the spacing remains, shoot the ball. If they come up on you, drive and get fouled.

That's what I, and everyone else not serving fuzzy navels in the Keys, took from that post. So you were correct, solid breakdown.

Can Hami declare again, go to the combine, not hear what he wants and still come back? I thought a player only had one chance to do just that. Wouldn't him going through the process last year preclude him from going that route this year?

No wonder PJ pulled a Nazi, what with a broken finger and all. No way that kid should make the jump but, well, who knows. His family doesn't seem to need the money so it may come down to Cal's rec

Not about to get my hopes up on Knox, regardless of the standard comments his old man made (fingers crossed though)

My bad. Didn’t realize there was a no busting balls policy in effect tonight.

I got the post, it was a joke bud. Lighten up.

2 combines and then you’re done. So he can go again this year but if he does, he pretty much can’t come back unless he feels he’ll for sure get drafted next year. I think he’d be best served to skip this year, as they already know his capabilities athletically, show improvement and then go again next year. He won’t likely do better at the combine than last year.
