Wow, this is what I have posted about before. You don't agree with the poster so you start the name calling, insults, rtc. Can't you all just say that you disagree with his comment and why you do without all of the nasty stuff? Geez, no wonder he doesn't post very often. I tend to agree with what he says. I don't agree with some of you, but I don't say some of the nasty things you all do. Some of you all are disgusting. And yes, I went to UK, donate, and try to go to as many things as I can, but I live too far away to make all the events. Does that make me a bad fan? That's why there needs to be a rule that players, if they sign a college scholarship, should have to stay no less than two years; and, football is three years. And, if they feel like they're good enough to go Pro right out of high school, then let them go. Much of what you say has validity.
This is the system. Cal has proven it's a winning system. When a fanbase is letdown by a Sweet 16 appearance, you know something is going right. Especially with the youngest team in Division 1 athletics.
It's a cycle. In prior years, we've been fortunate to have a few elite elder statesmen (upper classmen). This year was different. My main source of optimism looking forward is that a good number of these players are likely to stay. We'll add depth, continue with a winning formula, and get better. We'll get number 9. I'm very content with the state of Kentucky basketball right now.

2 one&done factories in the country. Duke and us. When we were the only ones getting multiple one&dones life was pretty good. we were getting THE best. Now that we have to share, Duke is getting the best. We were replenishing nicely. Now Duke is in that mode. Interesting that 7 of the Elite 8 don't fit that mold.

I'm not tired of it at all, but more balance with (grad) transfers and solid players needing multiyear development would definitely help. And it's not that Cal doesn't try to do that either. I feel like we are linked to a grad transfer every offseason, but they don't always want to come here.
Next year should be interesting with several expected holdovers coming back with experience.
