Until Calipari becomes like some of these other coaches (i.e., K) and starts putting National Championships and BBN’s fans FIRST!!!!!……. instead, of this constant mollycoddling of players & trying to be their “One & Done Career Counselor’ in letting them just suck whatever they can out of us, and then just moving on………nothing’s ever going to change. I’m tired of being quiet about this and I’m tired of being hurt by continual disappointing seasons like how this just ended last night.

I’m weary of a man who puts 5 individual players above an entire Nation of devout BB-loving fans, of whom he is supposed to be working for, and not not against by trying to shuffle our freshmen players on into the NBA, just so that he can bring in the next crop of young, inexperienced freshman in, who can’t play against MEN on these other teams. He can just leave for all I care and he’s not as great a coach as what many seem to think he is because if he was, he wouldn’t choke the way he does, and he’d be concerned about winning National Championships for us, for which he was supposedly hired to do.

Where are the top 3 recruits in the country going to next year and who are we going to have to face with those top 3 recruits next year? Could it be pUKe? All the top prospects are now beginning to go elsewhere, where they see that National Championships do matter, and with teams who really play for it, instead of just being pampered just to get them on into the NBA. The old ‘One & Done Era’ is about to bite Cal in the derrière and we’re the ones that are suffering even more. Boys can’t play with Men and that’s a fact.

We can be satisfied with our One & Done’s and our 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Rounds of the NCAA and then OUT…..because that’s all we’re ever going to have with this coach, unless he changes his ways. I’ll take heart and experience over all the talent in the world and no experience any day of the week. Basically, we need players that when they put their jerseys on with the name ’KENTUCKY’ across their chests, it means something to them, and not just something that they’re going to throw off and move onto the next greatest thing (the NBA). Rant over.

This is a slippery slope. I'm fine with him getting one and done players. I only wish he got the players that were the best that fit with HIS team. Recently Ratface and the Self toupee has been stealing players...and Sean Miller has been paying for them.....

Cal used to get the best of the best. Now he just gets 5 star players with flaws.

I can see you have no pride in our program. I guess you love being mediocre. I don't. Tune into the 7:00 games tonight and see if we can play with either one of these teams. Do we have the talent? I think not.

Yeah. No pride. Graduated from UK, donate to the K fund but no pride. Google what the K fund is....and then GFY.

One and done is fine if you don't have glaring holes in the roster . Last year we didn't have any shot blockers. Nice set of guards. This year no real shot blockers. Average guards (SGA was shut down in tournament) and one pretty good elite talent in Knox. Cal like everyone else is best with some rim protectors and most of his down years have lacked one.

TROLL alert !
I'm not a troll. I'm a season ticket holder. I don't live under a bridge. I donate heavily and I'm not satisfied with the direction our program has been going. It's time for someone to have a voice and stand up for what our university athletics should be and that's not the direction that it's been heading. Fans should have more pride, as well as the players should have more pride to wear a KENTUCKY jersey.

I'm a UK fan...have been as long as I can remember. It may be me and I may be a bad fan for it but my season ends with my team. I don't follow other teams. I don't care who wins what game after we're done.
I haven't watched any basketball today. The most painful day out of the year is when our season ends. It's pure depression and I really hate feeling like this. I can't watch basketball right now. I would rather take in some NASCAR racin'

If you sum up Cal's tenure as mediocrity, you are dumber than I originally thought.
Well, here's your mediocrity. When Cal has all the talent and he can just roll the balls out on the floor and tell them to have it, yeah, he's a great coach. But, when he actually has to coach and take less and make more of less talent, or call a time out to change the game, I don't see it happening.

Hey OP, only 218 posts in almost 6 years. Why?
Because I do not waste my entire day typing on a computer, but sometimes I feel like something needs to be said so maybe at least somebody may step back and take a look that our program is not headed in the direction that it should be. I just wonder how many people on this site that have 12,743 messages have ever even played a game of basketball, or know what it's like to be part of a championship program? If you're satisfied with only getting to the Sweet 16, then obviously you have never experienced a Championship run.

One post per day is 2190 over a 6 year period is 10 x your posts so stretching a lil there. My point is, you haven't had much negativity to post about over the years thus explains the low post count. I have played on a higher level of ball than you could even dream about.

Sounds like you're more of a math wizard, than a basketball player. Most of the players that I know, including myself, don't spend much time on these sports forums. Just trying to give some food for thought.

Well, I don't know any high-level basketball players, as you claim to be, that are engineers. Most athletes that good go into some type of coaching or sports-orientated fields. How's that for a deflection?

I worked my butt off for decades to have what I have. So go pro, spend away, and end up working for Walmart part time with no benefits. 100 lbs overweight. It’s a fact. That’s a more typical outcome for a once professional athlete. Only a very few of them end up rich. And even that takes a dedication of purpose.

What gets me is the fact that there was an entire arena full of TRUE UK FANS in Atlanta, or at least for the most part.

TRUE meaning a lot of them don’t get to watch games in Rupp Arena because of the difficulty in getting tickets.

These people spent a LOT of $$$$ to go stay, eat, buy gas or airline tickets, and many more things. What did they get??

In an arena where it was a virtual home game for UK, Cal with his multitude of 5 star players got schooled by a bunch of 3 star players and maybe not even that, and Bruce freaking WEBER. Not to mention they didn’t even have their best player for the most part.

I don’t care about the referees. I don’t care about anything but that final score 61-58. Man, that’s hard to swallow. Then you realize there was a player that could’ve probably helped quite a bit sitting there protecting whatever.

UK is getting a raw deal and anybody with any intelligence sees it.

Lol at the “recruits going where championships do matter”. If that’s the case how come UNC and Nova didn’t get the top recruiting classes since they have won the last two championships??? You are confusing what you as a fan want with what players want. Players want to play in the NBA more than anything else including titles and it isn’t even close. They play basketball with the dream of playing in the NBA for Millions not the dream of playing college basketball. They go to colleges because they HAVE TOO
