Why so much anger?

Seems like anyone with common sense and perspective would be sad. Out of 65 teams, or how ever many they have now, only ONE team is happy.

I agree, I was sad for a few minutes, but what can anyone expect. We have been playing young boys for the last few years and even younger this year.... if you are older, you know that normally older boys are better than young ones.... in physical and mental things to just name a few.

Handed? We lost 4 straight a month ago. This board was discussing NIT scenarios. Now we're mad we didn't make the FF?

Our path was a bad 9 seed probably our worst loss on the season and an 11 seed. That’s what he means by handed. Cal and we here complain about bad draws, say we need luck to make final fours etc and all that happened with a team loaded with talent. Swaggy cal everyone laments came back to bite us.

Dude if we can't beat a pitiful Kansas State team it's pathetic. Are we Loyola happy to get in?
That pitiful KSU team played hard and drilled 9 three pointers. I think we're better than how we played, but still don't get the anger over sadness.

The guy who threw a temper tantrum at Diallo waiting until the last minute to decide last May is asking why are we mad at how our season ended ! Really?

I guess its kind of like breaking up with your girlfriend. You're either a guy thinks irrational and throws furniture, or youre a guy who sits back with regret and sadness. The majority on here are irrational and go bat chit crazy.

I'm happy for the will to win but angry that a missed rebound might have cost them the game with Vandy hurt.

This game was plenty frustrating in and of itself, but it was also another sign that Cal's Plan isn't the long-term answer. It's much more about the names on the back of the jersey than the front of the jersey with the one year mercenary. Kentucky is just a vessel to get these guys from point A to point B. If UK is going to win titles with the overturning of the roster year after year, you better have a serious alpha dog leading the way. A guy who won't be just a first round draft pick, but a guy who will make a serious impact
immediately in the league. Those guys don't come around very often and Cal
isn't getting those players like he did a
few years back. I'd say Duke has 4
players this year - Bagley, Trent, Allen
and Carter - who are more talented and
productive than anyone on UK's roster. Yet a handful of UK players move on to the league anyway based on their "potential"...and Cal celebrates.

Path was open to Final Four. This is the only season in my lifetime where that’s happened.

UK shot itself in the foot.

It’s like dangling a Final Four over a cliff and daring the wind to take it out over the chasm, away from your reach.

I don’t think anyone would have been angry with a Final Four. Not with this team. We, as UK fans, treasure them. UK just choked last night, and no one wants to see their team go out that way.

9 posts and starting off with a negative sentence = I won’t bother reading the rest.

Nothing you say matters yet. There’s fans who have posted for years that might say the same thing, but they’ve proven themselves.

You haven’t.

This is a message board.

It’s where people vent and have catharsis over what amounts to a massive disappointment.

Why are you trying to play psychiatrist with this? It’s basic sports psychology. No one is murdering cats. No one is driving cars headlong into traffic. Most are merely venting their raw emotional output, just like every season when UK’s season ends.

The last few seasons, UK’s last game has featured something of a massive letdown, be it due to rogue refs, missed free throws, or going back to ’15, a team that could have made history.

I’m not sure why you’re so mystified.

I think the blown opportunity is what's making people extra angry tonight.

In the past we've complained about our bracket, but this year all the breaks fell in our favor and we got the easiest path to the final four in tournament history ...yet we still blew it.

That stings.

Calipari’s best days at Kentucky are clearly behihind him. His recruiting has continued to decline and it’s become very obvious that if he doesn’t have the most talented team he is a loser.

Imo, it’s cause we had an easy road and choked. Also, there’s no carry over. We go through up and down seasons in which we hear about how young we are, and “they’re all freshman”, and we scrap almost the whole thing and start fresh. Every. Single. Year.

It’s frustrating.

One of the most hate filled posters on this board asking why so much anger. Maybe they watched you over the years and picked it up.

I think it’s the realization that the Calipari era is coming to an end with only one title...combined with the growing angst that Duke is about to win their third title in that same era....and are set up beautifully to repeat next year while we lose G-League caliber players to the NBA.
