Arizona pretty much only plays five guys and played in a terrible conference. I am not sure they are the world beaters everyone is making them out to be all of a sudden.

There is always a surprising upset that nobody saw coming, maybe not every year, but almost every year. Buffalo over Arizona could be one this year, or Davidson over Kentucky. You never know until it happens, but statistically the odds are in favor of UK and Arizona both winning.

I haven't really seen much of Arizona this season. If they only play five guys, are they capable of keeping up with a fast team, with depth? Someone enlighten me please, I know their conference is weak. So have they faced fast teams with depth, and what was the outcome?

Arizona goes about 8 deep right now.

In the PAC-12 tournament, Arizona's bench averaged 4.7 points and 6.7 rebounds. In the two games that weren't total blowouts, all starters played 30+ minutes in regulation. Looking through a lot of recent box scores, they might have a couple bench guys play 10 or so minutes, but rarely contribute much.

Yes. If Buffalo can bait Arozonas guards into running and shooting jumpers instead of slowing it down and feeding the post all game then this game could be close

I did a lot of the auto fill brackets on ESPN just for the hell of it (u can do 25 and it was quickest way). Most of them I did the “random factoring in bpi” and I noticed it had Buffalo winning multiple times for some reason.

I said this previously in the vando thread, Buffalo is second best team judging by rpi theyve played all year, they have a very real chance at winning. itll be the second rpi top 25 team theyve faced all year, theyve only played one before now, funny how they got a higher seed than us, and how they underseed both of us on purpose to make this second round matchup happen as both could easily make final 4 if in different bracket but its impossible to create that matchup in the second round if you correctly give both teams a 3. or even UK a 3 and AZ a 4. So dumb, ill be rooting hard for buffalo, tho if vando is ready to go then ill have no worries about az but thats lookin sketchy rn so ill be hoping for a bulls upset. AZ #13 in RPI, Bulls #24.

There's more to the game than scoring and rebounding.

What's your opinion on how tested you are from the PAC this year? And if ASU goes down tonight to Syracuse meaning realistically you are the only PAC 12 team in the tournament does If give you cause for hesitation?

Oh, I don't know. There are times when I admit the PAC is hot garbage and other times I believe they are undervalued.

I can understand that. I felt that way about the SEC for the last 5 or so years but that feeling was usually backed up in the tournament when if we only got 5 teams in, 3 of them often made the Elite 8 and so on.

But ultimately a subpar conference doesn't mean the top team isn't a legit top 10 team. Just that it's harder to gauge how good they actually are until the games are played

I don't know why everyone is so concerned with AZ. This mentality with this team is scary. If you have been watching, when UK gets over confident they have a tendency to crap the bed. I just want to beat Davidson and then I'll worry about Buffalo/Arizona.
