Any update on him I know he is playing Thursday in the sweet sixteen and we have been busy winning the SEC tourney. I really think he would be a great addition and believe he has the talent to play meaningful minutes here.

Cal usually goes for the best pg he can get in every class, it’s the one position he doesn’t seem to settle minus maybe the Harrow year and even he was highly rated. I’m not sure he would take on a multi year player that could potentially cause you to lose out on a top pg. Some will reference Ulis but he was better than KyKy. Ultimately it’s Cals call, it’s just my opinion.

And Cal needs a Hawkins type 4 year player.. Just Tandy is way better than Dom..
As others have said in the past, a comittment from Tandy doesnt scare off any elite guard....i say offer him now
What if he has no interest in being a Dom, that played sparingly until later on in his career. Another thread on here had some saying he wanted to play early and from the sound of it wasn’t the type your talking about. That’s the reason behind my post, if he wants to play a lot early then I don’t see him as a fit.

Hawkins played in the FF a freshmen. Broke his wrist I think his soph year and also had some other injuries like severe sprained ankle as well so it hindered his development between his freshmen and senior seasons .
Obviously Cal thought enough of him to use him as a freshmen when we had the Harrison twins and others on the team who were much more highly ranked.
I want Tandy, with wiseman and jeffries, and sophomores Tyler herro, Immanuel quickley, jemarl baker juniors Nick Richards, Quade Green, PJ Washington, and seniors wenyen Gabriel and SKJ. I would love that team. Please
If not then next man up.. Hundred's of players of his caliber or better that would do it..
Many of the names you mentioned will be here. But Tandy in no way would be a key to the future of the program, and the current preoccupation with him is misinformed. Nothing against the kid. I'm not questioning his heart. But he isn't a difference maker for us. Hundreds of small players with better than average skills are available. The only way Tandy becomes the next Dom Hawkins would be if too many current players leave and Calipari needs a last minute addition for roster fill.

So, summing up your opinion then, you believe the fact that Kentucky-born players have been on UK’s roster during past championship runs means that UK needs KyKy Tandy. But 1 has nothing to do with the other.
Did we win a a title with Dom and Willis? How many f4 did they lead us to playing significant minutes?
There usually is a ky born on the bench when we win the title and on occasion they play a role in winning one. But what about the 100 plus years we haven’t won a title, did the Ky boys fail us? Or do they only get the credit but none of the blame? Far more champions have won a title without a Ky boy, how are they doing that?
Clearly, recruiting in the Calipari era has not been instate based. Darius Miller was a significant player for us, but he signed in our 2008 class before Calipari got here. Calipari signees from Kentucky have been Jon Hood, Dom Hawkins, Derek Willis. All good guys, but not program building blocks. But none of this has anything to do with KyKy Tandy. The country is full of skilled 6-1 basketball players. I am fine with signing Tandy if that scholarship is wide open and unused. But for people to suggest that signing Tandy has anything to do with program improvement is misinformed.
So, you're willing to take a chance.we.can win without one? Heart play a part in winning, as does skill and enthusiasm.
