this team is getting hot at the right time. we will be a bad draw for any of the top seeds in the tourney. only one that i don't think we can beat is virginia.
From a Kansas fan:
I know THIS KU fan doesn’t want to see you in the Tournament.

I mean, I do because it would be good basketball, but you guys are jelling. I hate him, but Cal is a helluva coach. Hate and respect. Good luck Cats.

Anyone that is truly objective would admit that the polls are crap. When UK loses its a guarantee 3-5 spot drop even if it's a 2 game week & we split.

If UNC, DUKE, KU, or some others have a split week they go up in the polls. I mean neck, week before last Kansas had a split week with a 16 or loss to Baylor (should've had 2 losses) & a dismal win over a bad Iowa St team & THEY WENT UP several spots. Was also declared a #1 seed in bracketology the same week.

It's a joke!

I don’t personally care about the poll but damn the bias is real this year. Look at our resume and tell me we should be 23. Can’t do it

I always felt it's better to play as a slight underdog. Then you're motivated to prove how good you are.

If you're the favorite, too much emphasis on not blowing it.

So #23 is about where I'd like to be right now. No higher than #16 coming into the tournament.

23 is about right. We’ve lost 9 games and our best win is against an 8 loss WVU team.

The good news is we suddenly look like a team that is capable.

I am very cautiously optimistic, and I’m not trying to be that guy that takes a dump in the tailgate chili, but some of you need to just step back a bit.

This team looked so awful for at least a month that any win would have excited us, but if you really look at the sudden three game winning streak, and break down each opponent, well, maybe we should hold off on booking that flight to San Antonio.

Alabama...definitely have looked great times, but as of right now, they may be NIT bound.

@ Arkansas....definitely impressive second half performance, but Arkansas is probably at best an 8-9 seed in the tournament.

Missouri...again, the Cats were impressive, but the Tigers aren’t exactly locks to even get in the Dance. They have two 50/50 games remaining, and they probably need both.
@ Vandy......home against Arkansas in a bitter rivalry game.

Folks, we lost FOUR games in a row before winning our last three, none of which were top 25 opponents. Not to take away from the wins, because it was against quality teams, but there is NO reason to be upset with our ranking right now.

I can't be mad at the pollsters for not quite buying in on a team that lost 4-straight before winning 3. You'll see Kentucky start to make moves if we finish SEC 5-0, grab a 3-seed for the SECT, and most likely win the first game or two..

Just be clear, because I was curious about your claim. Kansas fell from #10 to #13 following the week they lost to Baylor.

But how does st Mary's stay 22 and Arizona 19. These polls are crap.
Arizona fell 5 spots for a loss at Oregon. Saint Mary's stayed the same after winning 2 games. Not sure I understand your arguments with these two teams particularly. If you feel they shouldn't have been rated that high to begin with, that's one thing. But their ranking this week compared to last week makes complete sense.

23 is fine with me. I am honestly surprised that they put us back in the top 25 the way these rating go. Now if we want to crack the top 20 let's smash the crap out of Old Miss and whip UF on the road and roll into the SECT the hottest team in the country!

#10 to #13? Keep in mind the week before they lost at home to Oklahoma St.

And how much did they rise after cheating WVU the next week.

Now objectively tell me UK or another team would do the same.

I would possibly add Purdue to that category as well, though not to the degree of Virginia. UVA's incredible pack line defense would be a nightmare for us. Not that they have better players or talent, it's just a style of play issue.

Purdue would be tough because of their post play. They have really good bigs. It would take a Missouri-esque 3-pt shooting game to take them down I think.

When it's left up to someone else we will always fall faster and climb slower than any team in the polls. The pollsters have fun when Kentucky loses.

I’m thinking that this year might be a good one to roll the dice and try to steal a seed in second game anyway. I’m not fussed.
