i'm glad they're making them take it down because screw those guys, but the ncaa doesn't own the arena they play in. how can they make them take it down if it's not on ncaa owned property?

Are you on crack? What are you talking about?

Wait... do you think the NCAA owns the actual colleges???!

Omfg dude

Please enlighten me.
In a nutshell, the NCAA ruling with regard to UL is not a constitutional issue nor does it violate any part of the constitution. UL is a voluntary member of the NCAA and has agreed be subject to the rules, decisions and penalties of its governing body. Whether the NCAA rulings were fair or unfair is not a constitutional issue.

The NCAA isn't a government body either so that automatically negates a constitutionality claim, I would think, right?

As bad as I dislike Louisville, I agree with Pitino. UNC cheats got away with the largest academic scandal in American history and nothing done to them, if I was Louisville or any other school that had or has to vacate wins, I would be pissed!
Ha ha on uofl. Can't wait for phase 2 from that mean old ncaa.

Pitinos scriptwriter actually wrote 'unconscionable'...........the booze made him see 'unconstitutional'.
Silly interviewers gave him the wrong script and left BillyGraham off accidentally.

Pitino was misquoted by the media. He didn't say taking the banner was "unconstitutional", he said it was "un-prostitutional".

I've been as critical of Pitino as anyone, but damned if he ain't right about this: Not everyone is aware of the somewhat obscure 69th Amendment, passed in secret in the mid-1990s after a bi-partisan meeting between Bill Clinton and Newt Gingrich:

AMENDMENT LXIX: No organization, body, or collection of individuals shall infringe on the unalienable rights of American citizens to party with prostitutes, bang loose women on restaurant tables for periods of time up to or exceeding 15 seconds, supply said women with 'health insurance' in the form of pregnancy termination, treat juvenile associates to lap dances or transfer currency in increments up to $100,000 in shoe boxes or other conveyances to secure the services of young persons rated in various fields of endeavor at a level of 5 stars.

I just don't see it getting ratified. Good thought though.
