Sources familiar with the probe told Yahoo Sports that there’s a surprising level of specificity in the documents, bank records and wiretaps involving Miller’s business. They include exact dollar figures and intricate documentation of payments to the families of college players. There are also conversations brokering deals between Dawkins and the clients he was recruiting.

“There are spreadsheets detailing who got paid, how much they got paid and how much more they were planning to pay,” said a source familiar with the investigation. “The feds got everything they wanted and much more. Don’t think it will only be players who ended up signing with ASM that got paid. Those spreadsheets cast a wide net throughout college basketball. If your school produced a first-round pick in the past three years, be worried.”

Comforting thing for UK fans is that it only seems to go back 3 years. Will be interesting if the NCAA even deals with any of this.

I’m not overly worried, but why would only going back 3 years comfort anyone. UK has had a lot of first round picks in the last 3 years

Because it leaves out 2012, and depending on what you consider the last 3 years possibly 2015 as well

If my memory serves correctly, the 3 years are 2016, 2017, and this year. Which means only Murray, Skal, Fox, Monk, and Bam would be part of that. As has been stated before, Cal and this Andy Miller hate each other, so I wouldn't be overly concerned just yet.

And there is nobody on that list who I would suspect of being involved in a pay for play scandal.

USC guard ensnared in FBI investigation withdraws from school to prepare for pro career

The suspended USC guard ensnared in the FBI investigation is done with college basketball.

Prized sophomore De’Anthony Melton announced Wednesday that he is withdrawing from USC and focusing on preparing for next June’s NBA draft.

Melton has not played for the Trojans this season due to eligibility concerns stemming from the FBI investigation into bribery and corruption in college basketball. USC announced last month that it is holding Melton out of competition for at least the rest of the 2017-18 season after the school’s internal investigation corroborated that would-be agent Christian Dawkins paid a family friend of Melton’s $5,000 in exchange for advising the prospect to hire Dawkins and financial advisor Munish Sood when he turned pro.

USC allowed Melton to remain on scholarship and practice with the team. The school did not rule out the possibility that he could potentially compete for the Trojans next season had he chosen to remain in school for another year.

Melton is considered a potential late first-round pick this June even though he has not had a chance to show off his development this season. The dynamic wing needs to demonstrate during workouts that his outside shooting has improved, but he was USC’s most disruptive perimeter defender as a freshman and he showed a knack for guarding multiple positions, making plays in the open court and finishing in transition.

The absence of Melton is a big reason USC has not lived up to expectations this season.

USC began the season in the top 15 of the AP poll thanks to the return of a handful of key players from last year’s NCAA tournament team and the arrival of a talented freshman class. With Melton sidelined, forward Bennie Boatwright now out for the season due to injury and the FBI investigation hanging over the program, the Trojans (19-9, 10-5) are on the NCAA tournament bubble.

I would not think Marquis would be in this. Jeff Teague was already making big money in NBA while Marquis was at UK. I'm not concerned yet either. But it will be very interesting to see who is involved when this stuff is released.

UK and KU will vacate wins and uncheat will be all time wins leader. That’s how the NCAA will play it in the end.

I’m not worried about us. Just don’t believe we have enough breathing room to engage in something like that. However, I could be wrong. If so, I’d like to think we would accept that it happened, accept any penalties with class and dignity and without making excuses or flat out lying.
In the meantime, what’s the use in worrying over what may or may not be?
But damn I sure hope certain other programs get their asses handed to them :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Not sure how we get caught up in this. That's why we hired the NCAA lady to overview everything. Plus if it's true the main FBI guy and Cal hate each other and the fact we have been missing on so many Ky leans past couple years. Little odd isn't it? We are getting all top 5 guys and big time recruits and then we start missing left and right and guys that start out as down deal to KY go elsewhere past couple years. Just saying.
