On the movie subject, went to see Three Billboards yesterday. I put it with Wind River as the two best I have seen this year.

Monday Shorts:

- How is everyone?

- Holding out hope for a 2014 run. I don’t see that kind of run in this team BUT we’re overdue for a good bracket. We’ve run the gauntlet for 8 straight years. I’m hanging tough with Cal. He’s earned it.

- Wynn Duff works with my best buddy apparently.

- If anyone wants to see my floors, check out my IG. Went dark walnut- really pops my two Rookwood Pottery fireplaces.

- My fiancé needs a lesson on Want vs. Need. They’re not interchangeable.

- Dolphins coming to Cincinnati this year which is cool because I can host my father and brother in law. HUGE fans of the fish. Will be my first Who Dey game in a decade.

- I love Cal and won’t ever forget these 8 years of outstanding basketball results, BUT if there’s one fan criticism of this OAD gamble of which I will pay heed, it’s that the regular season has become an inconsequential grind. We’re so young that it’s a four-month long class nearly every year. Wears on a dude.

Can’t complain about the March results though. We’ve had more big wins in March than I could have dreamed of.

- How’s Wahlberger?

- Get me to the tournament. Get me to my wedding day. And get me to Mexico.

Funny you mention this, my friend Anthony invited me to the game last Tuesday. Evidently I didn’t post enough about it.

While you saps were whining on here about Richards and Diallo, I was watching The Post. Excellent movie.

I tried to avoid knowing the score, but my phone was getting lit up with so many texts I finally had to read them.

Touch.

My BIL had it on when I got to my sister's house to pick up my kids. I saw Knox hit a 3 to cut it under 10 then I saw Gabriel do his best Wolverine impersonation.

That was enough for me. Deleted the evidence from the DVR when I got home and moved on.

Show me something tomorrow or get pumped.

I still have hope for a magical run, but think a 1st rd flameout is much more likely.

I guess I picked a good time to end my SECT run at 17 in a row.

So this is the dude that was "protecting" Tai and he was arrested for beating up a girl he knows and holding her up against a wall by her throat.

Guiseppes Friday, Rodeo Saturday & BOAT show Sunday. I was obviously a speaker from a position of knowledge at each event.

SNACKDOWN in order. frutti di mare, boiled hotdog/cinnamon coated pecans, Grey Goose pesto/chicken pie. FAT and getting worse.

Canceled on the SEC Tourney. St. Louis, MEH. Go Cats.

-youth bball game friday night. My warriors are now 8-1, with lone loss being a 2 point triple overtime thriller.

-took prima shopping for her easter dress saturday.

-middlefork Saturday night. Food was solid(much better than first time) but the service was ****** again, millenials suck at jobs. Im down with "hipster/artisan vibe" but that place tries **way** too hard. Mrs Rudd ordered a hendricks martini... the "mixologist" put his own spin on it. Secondhand report: it was awful. Classics are classic for a reason. No amount of fair-trade flannel/edgy tatoos/american denim are gonna make you an "artist", bub. Stay in your lane.

-watched the 2nd half at etherial brewing. My team sucks, whatever...ima root for them anywho.

-jumanji w/the family yesterday. Fun movie. The redhead does it for me.

-crafted "artisan" vegetable beef soup last night for dinner...it was good.

Temps trending back up into the 60's and into the 70's over the next week 10 days or so. The levels of "Zero F's Given" just skyrocket on campus once everyone emerges from the first thaw.

Mardi Gras ball got the best of me Saturday night. Open bar with hurricanes and hand grenades. At one point shortly after saying, "oh im not even drunk in the slightest" I looked up to find my wife giving most of the cash out of my wallet to the DJ bc she wanted to hear 'Ignition." Night cap at a cigar bar was the icing on the bad choices.

Homeland got off to a slow start last night. Im committed to the show now, but it probably should have been wrapped up a few seasons ago. Need Billions to make its way back.

The most optimistic outlook I can see with the CATS is going 4-2 to finish out the regular season, finishing 21-10 and unranked. 20-11 is probably more likely. Woof. Win 1-2 games in the SECT and go to church on selection sunday to pray for the best.

Get to check off Playing Golf with a Crackhead from the bucket list. Wasn't sure if I would live long enough for that experience. There is nothing in life to prepare you for hitting your second tee shot of the day only to see some dude going full Otis Nixon on a crackpipe before he tees his up.

The sad thing is he beat me in points and I wasn't high on crack.

-Cal is certainly worthy of criticism, problem is many knuckleheads aren't able to stop at criticism, rather than maybe it's time to goo. Cal sucks. Go coach the Knicks. Who should Mitch go for?

-Gotlieb had some pretty solid insight on the guys and sitting behind Cal at the game. Several tweets so I'm not posting it.

-Dakich is so good calling games and such an asshat dickbag at literally everything else.

-Cal is going to need to give a few of these guys tough advice, which is fine if it's in their best interest (Vando, Washington, Diallo and maybe Shai) rather than let them make a mistake.

-I feel like the Green injury really hurt the trajectory of this team. Required Shai to become the primary point and now we're at our best letting him try to beat 3 guys and make a play. Just not a recipe for success. Wish he would've just bit the bullet and rode with Green at PG. Granted they were just picking on Green Saturday.

-I've heard a few goons indicate these guys wouldn't improve with a year experience. Not just UK fans but media types. Jesus. So UK has the only 5* players that won't develop. K.

-What I do like is when we give that chubby wop a reason to add some fire to his belly.

-10 losses and we're in easy. 11 and we're probably still in firmly. More than that and we'll need some help. These other 10-40 teams are doing similar ****.

-I just gave up on cigars. The next morning is just not worth it. Taste is impossible to get rid of.

-Spent the morning with G bopping around Joseph Beth yesterday. Good for them, not a lot of brick and mortar bookstores making it much less one that big. He had a blast though, they sell enough toys to keep the kids going. Checked out the Quack Quacks and ate lunch at the little cafe. Helped put the loss behind us.

-What really blows is the SECT being in a new city, rather than Nashville, for like the 2nd time in the decade and we suck again. Tampa was the 2013 team IIRC. Be hard for me to blow this one off b/c we've made plans with my college roommates for a year.

-NBA in Lou getting some positive momentum or that nbatolouisville dude just blowing smoke?

-Bat Cats -> LETS GO

Vando is so random. I'd say the nerves should be worn off but he has great hands, passes as well as any big guy, good handles, and his shooting touch is terrible. Put the basket in the upper left quadrant of the backboard and he'd be better.

It would be nice if Knox would come back like Justin Jackson did for UNC last year. It won't happen but it would be nice.
