Agreed. It's so blatantly obvious to me that SKJ and Gabriel are much better that I don't see how anyone that watched last season and this season very closely could miss that. I sometimes wonder if people think there is a magic wand, and a player will transform from what he is to an NBA All-star by the wave of a wand. The improvement is going to be incremental, but the difference it brings, which to our eye might only effect a few plays a game, can be big for the team.

Here's the issue, if a kid isn't Lebron James good in his Sophomore season, that means he didn't improve to some of these jokers. They only see things in big strides, not reality.

The backcourt will be improved, IMHO.

Quickley replaces Gilgeous-Alexander. I think Quickley will be an improvement.

Johnson replaces Knox. That's a push.

Herro replaces Diallo. Diallo is the better talent and better athlete, but Herro is the better shooter and probably the better team player. I am not giving up on Diallo, but right now losing Diallo looks like addition by subtraction, based on Diallo's recent play.

Green will have a year under his belt. Should really make strides this summer.

Baker gives us an extra guard. If he comes back 100% healthy, maybe he pushes Herro out of the rotation.

The frontcourt should be better.

Washington, Richards, Gabriel, and Killeya-Jones should all improve.

Things change if (when) we add another player or two, but as is we will be very good.

Seven 5-stars and a 4-star. Two Juniors, three Sophomores, and three Freshmen. Good balance of talent and experience. Good depth as well.

Could see us add another player or two.

Last year Wenyen just looked lost and was just raw talent, but this year he gives consistent hustle and hits a good clip from deep. He isn't a dominating player or lottery pick, but he belongs on the floor and has a defined role. He doesn't have the best/experienced players around him so that makes him not look as good.

Last year SKJ was so bad he couldn't even get any play time at all. This year he has stepped into a 6-7 man role and Cal can at least play him a decent amount of minutes.

That is improvement from those two. Some players take longer, but think about these two going into the summer with a full season of play time under their belt and what that can do for them.
