Yeah put me down for footballs a "tougher sport" than baseball 10/10 times. Didn't mean to insult you tho. You're just talking to a guy that's hates baseball *shrugs*
Put it this way, at the junior level I’d be more scared of an 11y/o throwing 75 mph at my head than a 11y/o tackling me.

I never thought that and the Harrisons had a totally different attitude. You could tell they were bulldogs who gave it their all and listened to the coach. They just had alpha personalities.

Interesting. I think he’s still struggling with the speed and physicality of the SEC game.

But then I never try to read minds.

Football is pussified. Not an intimidating sport at all, played that too.

Not at all. But (if this is true and I see no reason to doubt it) he should be pissed off. Nothing funny about the issues this team has and his piss poor play. It’s a game, I get that. He’s a teenager and I get that too. But basketball at UK is a pretty important spotlight and he knows that. If MKG (just to name one) were on this team and Knox was yucking it up after a game like this he’d be wearin’ the pizza on his face when he picked himself up off of the sidewalk. I think MKG ‘got’ UK basketball.
MKG wouldn’t do a damn thing to Knox

BTW, an athlete who is obsessed with getting better and winning, doesn't go out after that kind of performance and enjoy themselves to pizza and a good time; and any real athlete who hates losing knows it. Knox has essentially sucked all year, and I don't know if it's true and don't really care, but Knox looks like he's checked out. He refuses to play tough, looks to avoid any real contact, and is the laziest player of the Cal era.

He wants to go pro and that's it. That's why he's here, it makes sense.

So, maybe he was hungry, maybe he was upset and getting his mind off things, or maybe it didn't happen at all.

Or maybe it's more of the same attitude that we can all visualize if we try just a little bit.
Were you ever a college athlete? Did you ever want to go grab a slice and maybe try to hang out with a girl? I have two grandkids at UK and constantly get pictures of these kids hanging out and being kids. To expect them to act otherwise is extremely selfish on a fan's part. His career is his, not ours. If he is hungry, he can eat pizza. I'm sure you had to eat what you wanted tonight. This kid owes you nothing.

I played at Trinity and when you're a sophomore doing a hitting drill with Jordan Whiting(OSU commit) a tad bit intimidating. Also I played with a bunch of great other athletes, meanwhile a lot of kids I knew that couldn't cut it in other sports played baseball. Just my personal experience, DK why you baseball folk take it seriously. Must be the long socks and the flat bill hats [winking]

How do we know this caller to Matt Jones was just another troll just trying to stir up some trouble. The Media and the fans from rival schools love to see when UK loses games like this one tonight. I mean UNC can lose to Wofford, lose 3 straight games in the ACC, and probably could lose Thursday and have 8 losses and you never hear the Media give them such a hard time like they do UK. This year is a wide open year for NCAA Tourney and getting to the Final Four. That is why with now our 'D' stepping up and playing so much better than they were earlier in the season we have to get this offense scoring. After 3 or 4 teams most teams from #10 to #25 in the Rankings have anywhere from 5 to 7 losses this year. There could easily be a double digit loss team make a deep run in the NCAA Tourney like we did in 2013-2014 and we were 24-10 and 12-6 SEC heading to the NCAA Tourney and we made it to the Championship game vs. UCONN. If you look at our numbers during that year and on our run we wasn't the best offensive team but played outstanding 'D'. We have to turn this around and go 6-1 or 5-2 to end the SEC this year and Win the SEC Tourney or 2 or 3 games in the SEC Tourney.

We just have a bunch of punks going through the motions. That's what this recruiting pattern has turned into. The recent players don't care about anything except themselves. It won't happen with Barnhart, but I would do a Cal buyout right now to get Brad Stevens. The bloom is obviously off Cal's rose. Barnhart is annoyingly obtuse, and he needs to be removed. We need someone actively recruiting Stevens.
You obviously know nothing about basketball if you think Brad Stevens would leave the Celtics to come to any college program. To call kids punks because they don't play basketball the way you like is very presumptuous.

Ummm....totally not true that people that cant cut it in sports play baseball. Actually, thats the opposite. Even growing up our travel all star team were the best athletes in my grade. Football is home to the fat asses who cant cut it in baseball or basketball so they stand on the offensive line and take up space with 400 lbs of pads on.

You cannot make baseball cuts without being somewhat of an Alpha and a ***** has no chance at being a good baseball player. Try the hot corner, or having line drives hit back at your face. Or try coming up to the plate when you know retaliation is coming and that pitcher throws faster than your car drives.

Runt, give it up. You wont win this one.

Not at this rate. If he thinks he can just go through the motions like the scouts aren't watching.. Lol. Kentucky is struggling and in part because of him.

Diallo and Knox will go, but as of right now, they won't do much in the NBA. No team is going to be excited to grab them in the first 20 picks. They are throw-away NBA players at this point. If they go, they'll get the guaranteed contracts, but not much of an NBA career.

If you want to be lazy, not care, not listen to coaching staff.. it will get noticed. Both Knox and Diallo dropped on the draft boards tonight, fact. Any GM will look at tonight's game and be disappointed, also a fact.

In a slightly different angle... I'm curious to know more about Knox's recruitment. Watching him on the court the entire season.. why did he come to Kentucky? No one saw him coming here. No one. Was this just the safest move to the NBA, with Duke having more players that required the ball? Can;t blame him, it's his life... but I'm starting to think his decision to come here might have been more of a business decision.

I didn't play offensive line lol. Try catching a pass while being hit from a blind side. Try cutting 3 times on a dime In a single route you may not even get thrown to. Try blocking a man way bigger than you. We can argue semantics all day, sports are sports. You'll defend yours, I'll defend mine. No reason to get mad my man. Fwiw I've seen plenty of "pussys" play baseball on the HS lvl. Seen it at other sports too before you freak out

Because Duke was getting Bagley and he probably knew it, also wanted a fast route to the NBA.

No, they throw 75 MPH at the LLWS, the MLB equivalent is like 95 MPH. The kids at the LLWS are the top kids. A few can throw that hard, or close to it, but without the control.

Stand at a plate and get hit 1/100 times. Play football get hit every play. It is what it is. Baseball boring and the fastest plummeting sport in the US nationally. Super boring JMO, but please tell me why it's not Bc I know you will lol. I like fball, you like baseball. We both like basketball.

Damn Runt, you're way behind.

Baseball is on the uptick nationally. Football is starting to fade a little, sports popularity goes in cycles.

And since lots of parents are becoming concerned about the constant helmet banging on the brain, a lot of kids are turning to baseball. In Memphis where I coached we held tryouts in baseball for the first time since the 90's because the turnout was so large. They are still holding tryouts yearly.

I heard the dude's call-in also. He said he hustled out of Rupp for the drive back to Knoxville. He said he was "in the parking garage / lot across from the arena" and that's where he supposedly saw Knox. Tell me how Knox could have returned to the locker room, did some post-game stuff with the media, showered and been seen in the parking lot before this guy was well on his way back to Rocky Top. Not buying it.

MLB might be up compared to years past. NFL might be down compared to years past. But don't get it twisted nationally Football is the much more watched sport in a per game basis.

Well when there are only 16 games it makes it easier for any old fool to watch it on sunday. Most Baseball fans are at least knowledgeable about the game, most football fans cant even name the divisions.

Are you still talking you senile fool?

You've already been exposed as a liar, find another board.
I am so tired of you young kids thinking that if you say it enough it becomes true. Show me where I've lied, criticized Cal.........etc. Don't respond with some deflective response. Everyone says it, but no one supports it. My history exists. Go prove your point, or did they not teach you how to prove things when you were in school. In engineering school and law school, I learned that proof was important. That was before the new math though.

By the way, I'm here because I'm old and don't work anymore. Why are you here so much? You should really work on a wife and a family and spend less time here. It will allow you to become an old guy like me that can drink gin and make fun of young guys online when you are in your 80s.

Not at all. I'm drinking beer watching planet earth. I just can't understand how you can sit here and grandstand for the dying sport of baseball. The all star game determines home field advantage in the WS and no one even watches. Don't get me started on the HR derby it's a joke. Most all star games are a joke but to determine homefield in the WS is pretty dumb.

Because the Super Bowl has been turned into a social event, it's just one game, and anyone including women and children can watch it. It's not even about the actual game anymore.

Half of those people admit they watch it for the commercials.[laughing]

And by your own numbers, that's 100 million viewers for the entire world series ( if 5 games)

Both one event, I like how you tried to spin that.
