They are athletic and all can shoot the three. They can make a deep run, Play tough D and just punish teams.

They are skilled and well coached. The best team in the SEC this year..
Regardless of what a lot of our fans think, and I know a lot of them don't like Pearl, the man is one of the best coaches in basketball. He does more with less, then a lot of coaches do with 5 Star players. His players have good basic fundamentals, set good screens, good cuts, and block out on rebounds. Just basics for most coaches, which most of us learned in high school.

They really have been under the radar all year until the last few weeks. No one expected them to do anything which I think has allowed them to play loose (no pressure). It will be interesting to see if they continue to play loose and not develop a playing not to lose" attitude. It's always nice to play the "hunter" instead of the "hunted".
What’s sad is that most Auburn fans aren’t aware they even have a men’s basketball team. They’re already thinking about football.
I mean if we were looking forward to anything other than basketball right now, it would be softball. Can’t wait to get back to the World Series.

I have an in-law who’s an AAU coach in Tennessee from Indiana and he said Bruce Pearl is a giant cheater, or at least he was when he was at Southern Indiana. TIFWIW

And that is a shame really. I mean it isn't often that Auburn has had this good of team.
He's 8-6 in the NCAA Tournament, including a 30 point loss in his last effort, an 8 vs 9 game. His first 3 years at Auburn, his SEC record was 16-38. That's not the record of "one of the best coaches in basketball." UK fans have a way of putting their own coach under the highest powered microscope, noticing every blemish and crack. For other coaches, we don't even bother with binoculars, noticing only the highlights.....
