Funny thing about this thread is that every single poster who bashed the OP thot it was a loss as well altho many won't admit it.

Oh I thought it was a loss, but im happy with the win, even OT against Vandy. Young team is learning the Will To Win, exciting to me.

Just joined up. Its crazy to me how some of our fans are so harsh and quit on teams and players all the time. Roll with the punches, their young, I knew coming off that win like with the UofL one we would come out flat. I also knew Vandy just beat TCU which has a good record and has beaten some good teams this year. Vandy is starting to play better and will upset some teams the rest of the way. Its a win and im proud of the heart they show. They could have just sunk their heads and said oh well, but they fought a Vandy team that like all teams was ready for their superbowl game coming off a strong win and upset of TCU and Dixon. Not thrilled with Vandy taking us to OT, but with how we finished and the fight im starting to see each game in spurts im pretty happy and proud. The same as I was after the FL loss. Stick with your team through the good and the bad, we always have much more good.
Good post.
Welcome to Rupp's Rafters where some of our fans are a whistle away from being on an episode of "Snapped." :eyes::gun: [laughing]

Wow, this is kind of like taking a hand-off and then running 80 years backwards into your own end zone for a safety. Just wildly going the wrong direction.

Of course most posters thought this was a loss. They refrained from starting a thread about a loss, though, until the game was actually over.

You know why? Because most were going to be very unhappy about it, unlike the OP, who wanted to be first man in to say "I told you this team sucks", and has since spent most of this thread doubling-down on that idea.

Venting online is self serving, at best. It reeks of weakness and a desire to spread misery. I’ve never been tempted to whine to others about the team I support. It’s called respect.

Happy with the win

But that was about as unlikely an overtime as can happen

We got extremely lucky. So maybe some can lay off the op.. probably a 1% chance of overtime

0.0000000001 % without the foul.

Never tell me the odds.

Especially as excuse of why someone just had to show their ***.

Maybe the OP and those that want to wipe and dangle in sad sack defense of the sentiment expressed by them should focus more on cheering for our team and less on the Olympic towel throwing training and everyone will be a little bit happier.

I’m at a loss for words with this team. Ten point favorite and at home. Unbelievable how this team can go from Jekyll to Hyde from game to game. No other word but embarrassing.

I’m sorry. I thought we won. You must have watching to North Carolina game..

Actually the win probability graph had us winning 5.6% at the lowest moment (down 70-65 with about 40 seconds left).

Improbable? Yeah.

But FWIW 172 games this season alone had games where a team with less of a chance winning ended up winning to put things into perspective.

I think we had to score 7 points in the final 30 seconds of the game against Kansas at home in the Pitino era to get the win. Anyone can beat anyone on any given day. Take the win and be grateful for the lucky ending.

It will probably be the last regular season game I watch of this team. I’ve believed in this team all year and I still think they may figure it out by March but tonight is brutal
You sir are a joke. Go cheer for someone else. BBN doesn't need that.

Totally didn’t deserve that win. Seriously frustrating team to watch. I stand by what I said. I think they can figure it out by March but man oh man, not much positives to take away outside the final score.
You don't deserve to watch this team in march your not a fan .

I think one thing everyone should agree on is Kentucky has to quit only playing about 10-15 minutes a game. Glad they won but if they want to go where they are capable of they have to start giving a full effort from tip to buzzer.

People can get pissy with me all they want but it’s super frustrating watching the effort I saw in the first half and majority of the 2nd. Like I’ve said a lot, I think this team can make a run in March But getting there is hard to watch for me, especially tonight. Like I said in the game thread for people to think they suddenly had this thing figured out after 1 half at WVU makes me lulz. just like how people on here are ignoring 30 minutes of basketball tonight. This team has a lot of work to do.
Well then don't watch your not a fan of Kentucky we don't need you . I enjoy watching this team and am behind them 100 % .

Still stick with what I said even though the outcome changed.

Would have been 240 replies IF we lost. Glad we didn’t.

I really hate to see it too. This team has so much potential but with questionable coaching and slow starts, this is where we are.
What I hate to see is you were going to post a negative post win or lose. You said all you'd change was the title to "Terrible Win." No such thing as a terrible win if you ask me. Did we play good, no. Did we show signs of improvement in some categories? Yes. Like only having 9 Turnovers, shooting above our season average from the FT line, the will to win and never giving up. Overall bad game but there were positives. I can't imagine waiting to post a negative post win or less for a team I claim to root for.

I actually enjoy the process every year. Sounds like you hate it...and it is the SAME every year since Cal got here. I find it difficult to believe that you can't peg the psychology of the 18 year olds that we get to see the process of every single year for the last 8-9 years.

If you've ever began a project and was there from beginning to end, you know the fruit is at the end...or March for UK. There a many bumps in the road and various ups and downs, but there is beauty in the grind too. It makes the fruit that much sweeter.

I'm thankful we get to witness this every year, rather than just know what you've got with upperclassmen...which usually includes major limitations, or else they wouldn't be upperclassmen. We get to see some of the most talented players go through this maturation every year...and I find it very rewarding every time.

This is why I've always thought the "high post count" mentality is silly. If you have high numbers, but this is what you post.....just don't. At least let the game end before you start casting stones.

I wouldn't say I hate it. The only years I haven't really enjoyed the regular season would be '13 '14' and this year. Just so much youth so you have so many mistakes. I can live with the mistakes. I said in another thread, I can live with the bad shot selection, and the bad passes. They're learning. The thing that drives me bonkers is the lack of effort this team displays so much each game. They seem to go through the motions. '14 showed signs of that too and once March and the win or go home mentality hit, they picked it up so I'm hoping the same thing hits this team.

In 2010, I remember watching Cousins get better and better and then in January, that flip just switched. Karl Towns just getting better in '15 How the '11 team learned to play team ball. Even though the '16 team went home early, I enjoyed that season with all the up and downs. These kids have the ability and they show it in flashes but they just need to put it all together and with no great teams out there, anything is possible with this team.

You actually think I care what any person says on this board? I’ve went about my day as normal and peeked in a few times to see some of y’all blow a fuse and others agree that this game was pitiful and we should have lost.

Man, I live my life unattached to a message board. What’s hilarious is how most can’t believe someone would actually say seconds before a game ended that we lost. The second thing is all the hypocrites on here thought exactly the same thing and were ready to pounce on this team. What’s gonna be fun is when I burn some asses in the next few weeks...talk about eating crow. I’m serving that sum b****h twice.

The 2011 team started conference play 5-5 and was far more frustrating than this team. Seems like you have a bad memory. It amazes me how fans just somehow forget the growing pains we always have and think we should be a well-oiled machine from the start. Not a sign of high bball IQ.

Not a bad memory. Maybe just a difference of an opinion. All those losses happened on the road and the Cats had a shot to win in all of them. That team dominated at home in the SEC too.
