What’s amazing is how often coaches/athletes suck in the booth/studio- Bobby Knight, Shane Battier, etc.

Your Creans/Lavins are actually pretty rare.

I must have watched that Field Goal call 100 times this year, and Sergio Dipp is incredible, I lose my **** on his last sentence every time . [laughing]

A few years ago I read the backstory on Brian. That was his first time ever on camera... was filling in for some other dude who got sick. Poor dude was just doing someone a favor and it ended up being the worst thing ever recorded. He got up there with a script and none of it was in the right order. When he whispers "I'm so sorry" they should have just kicked it to to a blank screen or something.

"Well they started out good... and ended up doing poorly. Oh no."

That’s doesn’t even really make sense imo. Any reasonable news person (like the two anchors beside him) could fill in for sports just fine in a pinch if needed.

That’s what I’m saying. Why not have the lead news anchors do the sports for the evening.

They really decided the best solution was instead to hand off an entire segment to a camera man or whatever?

The person working the teleprompter was also new to the job and scrolled through the script at too fast of a pace for Collins to read.

He did have a copy of the script right in his hands, but the pages were out of order

When it became unsalvagable he should've just called out the teleprompter person on the air.

Hard to tell since you felt the need to explain he was a student. Presumably, every single person working on a student broadcast would be a student, so one would think there'd be no need to qualify it.

Random thing I loved from that "The Journey" video UK did on Saturday - Knox is the last to arrive in the locker room because he's staying behind to talk with ESPN, and when he gets back Diallo basically tackles him in a fit of joy. That's the kind of enthusiasm for a teammate that you can't fake. I mean it was instant.

Thanks to the wisdom of GYERO I have seen the errors of my ways. In order to be a true Wildcat fan I have realized that one must stick with our boys through thick and thin, I am truly sorry for my misgivings. I've watched the last 4 games from start to finish. Please accept my appology and thanks for your personal concern.

I didn’t realize the Lackin’ Challenge had multiple entires. I just watch that one “YOU SMOKED” video every time it pops up in one of my very off color FB video wormholes.

I also enjoy when Tyrone that knocks cigarettes out of people’s hands in “the hood,” LOL.
