Looking forward to your stuttering and whinier posts when he's gone.

I want cal to stay and change a few things. but he's not even close to the only coach that can win huge here.

Its not even time to remotely think of another coach......... this is time to plead and beg cal to change a few things and get the buzz back at UK.

But if Cal was to retire this year......... there are many options we could pay 8 million a year for and do huge things for us. Granted most wont have the flare Cal has and we might not have combines and lively press conferences and so many keep UK in the news type cal moments. But you know what.... we'd get over it because winning trumps all.

Dual fan.
Because was black. That is the answer you wanted wasn’t it. We all know he was your all time favorite coach. Fact is he was a good bench coach but couldn’t recruit his last few years. He has failed every place he has been since leaving UK. Cal has been a great recruiter and a weak bench coach in my opinion.

They have a right to defend their father.

They are very protective of their dad. A KU fan created a fake Calipari facebook page where he would post as Calipari and would post crap about him cheating, etc. She reached out to this KU fan (posts as Elija over on the Kansas board) who created the fake FB page and told him that her and her dad would read the fake posts and how funny they thought it was, but she asked him to take it down ... and he did. This was right around the time Calipari started coaching at Kentucky.

I Think cal is as pissed as the fans and this “eating our own” we do so well at Kentucky will be the undoing if it continues. If anything losing zw should be a rallying cry for all of us to unite behind our coach or else our fate will be sealed for the next 3 years

Legit every time I get on Twitter they are trying to cut someone down or replying to someone's tweet being little smartasses...it' ok to do it every now and then but its every day. I couldnt care less about either one of them or their inflated sense of self worth.
They can border on Kardashian behavior, that's for sure.

So bored and rich they punch down on the internets. Never a good look.

This "eating your own" happens at EVERY program with lofty expectations...... Lakers. Celtics....... Patriots... Cowboys... Red Sox, Yankees......... Duke , UNC, KY, KU, Bama, OSU, Michigan, UF......

Do I need to continue? when fans think players are slacking and not showing pride.......... people put them on blast.. when a program is on a downward trend like UK is in..... people ask that some things change for the better to stop the bleeding.

The disease is losing and the cure is winning. NOTHING MORE ... NOTHING LESS

Will you show me where I like U of L. I have read enough of yuur post to know your reasoning. Time to get over Tubby and Joker and move on
Lazy? Why don't you go back and read who I was talking about. I even quoted his/her post. BTW, yes, I wanted both mentioned coaches to succeed at UK so what's your point?

People will take this the wrong way, and I assure you I’m not on twitter saying things. But that rubs me the wrong way she keeps talking about “how it was before we got here”. She acts like he has caused all our success. How about 7 titles before Cal. Cal is a great coach and appropriate for this job, but he is not this program. This program was the gold standard before he was here and will continue to be after he leaves.

All that being said, people are overreacting over last night. I was one of them after I left Rupp.
The program was absolutely in disarray and not on the national radar at least 5-7 years before he got here.

He brought the Cats back to prominence in 1 year. So yeah... she’s got a point.

"Literally, no one said that. But happy for him to retire and spend more time with me. You can have the 5 years before he was there back." https://t.co/0tsVNxyrv8

This is not an indictment on Cal nor do I prefer another coach. I think he's doing a perfectly fine job. But his daughter's comment above is such rubbish. Full on hyperbolic strawman. She may be a doctor, but she sure as **** isn't a fortune teller.

There is no guarantee that UK automatically goes back to the BCG years once Cal leaves. For all anyone knows, UK could return to the '96-'98 years.

People get on twitter and message boards and post crazy stuff. And how does anyone really know if they are fans or not. I could create an account aligning my allegiance to any school. Go on Twitter and message boards and say whatever I wanted and no recourse. So you sometimes have to wonder.

With that being said I do want to say I’m not s fan of what one said. Go back to the way it was before. I like a Cal and what he’s doing here seems like a great family. But they did not create Kentucky Basketball. It was around here and has been very good to great for a very very long time. He is not the beginning and the end of Kentucky Basketball.

As the late Al McGuire use to say. “ they had it before you and will have it long after you’re gone.”

People do need to get off his back he’s earned that and just let him coach his team and see where it ends up this year.

I hope Cal stays until Barnhart leaves. I'd hate to see him hire another coach.

sadly its going to take barnhart hiring another BCG for people to wise up and realize we need a basketball guy at a basketball school for the AD

On Twitter. Some of the comments are just awful directed at cal. Gonna run him off if we ain't careful and slide back into the tubby/Billy G years.

Your deflection is irrelevant to what constitutes the majority of the critique, and really represents the fallback line some are using right now. It goes like this, “Be quiet, because we will lose Cal if you speak.”

If Cal leaves because of some call-in shows and message board comments, he’s weaker than I ever imagined and weaker than he’s postured, and I don’t think that’s the case. The critique is legitimate if it’s based in questions and opposed to final verdicts on the current recruiting situation and subsequent direction of the program regarding recruiting narratives. It appears most fans seem to be in the questioning camp as opposed to the final verdict camp.

Evidently, many fans are just wondering why we’re suddenly getting our *** kicked by Duke with almost every recruit. It’s a valid question. More notably, Cal created this Frankenstein monster:

  • We are college basketball

  • I want to have 1/3 of the NBA All-Stars

  • We are the gold standard

  • We move the needle

  • I’m here because I recruit the best of the best

  • I want to have five straight 30 win teams

  • I want to be the first coach to go 40-0 because everyone says it can’t be done

  • We’re chasing UCLA

Did the fans say these things? If not, it’s reasonable to critique the current system that is presently making all of these comments look unattainable at best, and delusional at worst.

You have to rememeber who the dip ish is that would be doing the hiring.

I was a huge Tubby fan and Joker fan because they were UK coaches, but neither succeeded. I am willing to stay with Stoops as long as we go to a bowl game. I am on board with Cal...but things need to change quickly...

Agreed. There is no reason for them to engage fans like that. They are treating less than 1% of the fan base as if they are the majority and drawing attention to that. As well as creating division. Cal's daughters can do nothing in this argument but make things 1000x worse. Just imagine what's going to happen when ESPN gets a hold of this as a story. Do his daughters suddenly think that Pat Forde and other Cal haters are going to fall on his side or are they going to write more "you made your bed...." type of stories about Cal.

If it takes another BCG to get rid of the dip ish.... I'll happily live through 2 more BCG years

Im more than vocal about wanting Barnhart gone. Basketball AD for a basketball school.
