The road is going to be a problem a lot this year. Congrats to Auburn going into Knoxville and winning nicely.

Mississippi State is 13-1 with their only loss being to Cincinnati.

Didn't see that coming.

This is why it was so key for the SEC to get teams ranked going into conference play. ACC and Big 12 the last few years get teams ranked and then they keep beating each other so you have like a #12 beating a #16 and thus no one drops in the polls and then it helps come selection sunday.

Still not sure how good many of these teams are, but any road win will be good this year. LSU tomorrow is very winnable but LSU will beat some top SEC teams down there this year.

SEC home cooking is the worst in the country.

It kills us come tournament time because our top teams typically have several bad losses on their resumes due to the one sided officiating.
This is a very good point. Ought to be discussed more.

Except at Rupp. The only cooking there is a banquet for the visiting team. Seems at home or away we get some of the most interesting calls going against us.

I was looking at Auburn's roster and they show six players listed as starters and five other returning lettermen, so they will be very tough in the conference with their experience.

I use to respect Arkansas. We had good games with them. They have good fan base. Good facilities. NW Arkansas is a great area. But I cannot stand Mike Anderson. Much preferred Nolan to him. And that’s saying something.

Hog fan complaining about refs. If you foul every trip from one end to the other the opposing team should shoot 40 free throws.

Been saying this for years. I'm amazed at what happens on the road in the SEC.
I'm convinced the SEC has been trying to get more teams into the NCAAT at UK's expense.

SEC teams have to win at home this year because they are going to get pounded on the road. Auburn's win at UT is impressive.

couldnt happen to a nicer guy. Ole nolan jr is a big prick. Cant stand that sob
That's great, because your feelings towards Coach Anderson are similar to how most Razorback Fans feel about Calipari and Barbee. My personal dislike for them isn't because of Kentucky, it goes way back to the Memphis days and prior.

That's awesome. When our players start trying to take out Ark players with flagrant fouls, like your guys have in multiple games in recent years, let me know. It's a reflection of your coach.

Yeah Arkansas is the only basketball program in the conference I just want to see lose no matter who they're playing. Dirty fans, dirty coach, dirty players.

I have always said the two worst teams about grabbing, slapping and holding were Arkansas and Louisville, they got away with it more than any teams ever have. They still get away with it in league play but when the tournament starts they have to adjust and can't and Anderson always has meltdowns. That's why the rules changed recently about the defense having their hands on the offensive player.

So using your logic, I would like to ask if Andrew Harrison's racist comment about Frank Kaminsky is a direct reflection Calipari?

Never heard of anyone being racist about a hog before, do tell...
It's not about the Hogs, it is the belief that some here think that all Arkansas Players, Fans, and Coaches are dirty no good low life individuals. I can argue with facts that many, if not all schools have instances of players, fans and coaches doing things that they don't later apologize for and sincerely regret.

Logic? LOL. Horrible comparison. Racist comment? Hahaha. You must not understand context. Nice try.

Listen, your players act like punks when they play us. It's a fact. Your coach doesn't seem to do anything to discourage it, does he? Hell, he said after the game last year his players didn't do anything dirty. You guys seem to play dirty and pout and distribute flagrant fouls quite often when playing UK, especially when losing. Hell, you had one guy basically tackle Archie Goodwin? lol. You had a fan go after one of our players after a game in Fayetteville. Do you want to take a look at flagrant fouls in UK and Ark games and who committed them? Seems like we keep thing under control a bit more.

We get it, You guys used to be good in the 90s. It was fun. Now, you may get to the tournament a few times or whatever, but nothing more. It sucks for you guys that we got Goodwin and Monk, but you act like children about it. Your coach handles it poorly and your players do as well.

The fact you tried to compare some post game press conference comment from Harrison to your team's dirty on court behavior is laughable.

I lived in Arkansas for over 20 years, and this is absolutely true.

I was just using a simple, quick example where a player does or says something that he ends up regretting, and wondering if you would admit that it is not necessarily a reflection of his coach.

I get it, and what is completely laughable is that in your eyes, and many others, Kentucky players and/or coach don't ever do anything wrong, but when one or more Arkansas players and/or coach does, it is completely different.

I never commented negatively on Monk and Goodwin, I wished them both well and completely understood their decision. They were great Arkansas High School Players, but even though I was not a world class athlete, I chose to leave immediately after High School to pursue my career as well.

As for the flagrant fouls, the players got caught up in the moment and reacted in a bad way, and apologized for their reaction. As far as I can remember, Kentucky players have not received any, and I don't believe any of the Arkansas players have received any previously or since.

Happy New Year.

Nope, not at all, I am just here trying to catch up on things and get a few laughs on what is going on with my second favorite team, but when I see an Arkansas Thread, I will voice my opinion.

I often see these "Coach Anderson is a racist" comments, and I will ask again, like I have previously asked and never received a justifiable answer, what has he ever done that deems him a racist?

When I was 11, I visited Arkansas for a football game with my dad. On the way into where we parked, a column of Arkansas fans was shaking our vehicle, beating on the windows, flipping us off and cussing at us. After the game (Kentucky lost) we were treated worse by Arkansas fans than we ever have at a road game, and it's not even close. Just people cussing and yelling at us non stop. I've been to almost every SEC stadium, and I've never experienced anything remotely close to the low life, classless Arkansas fan base.

I never get a reply either. Hell it was other teams that used to call the way we played as "N***** Ball". Anderson is a low-key guy who doesn't even say a whole lot and does a lot for the community so it's hard to see where the hate is coming from other than a few hard fouls. Guessing these people are not Detroit Pistons fans.

Was it in Little Rock? Even our fans will tell you those fans are garbage. LSU fans throw piss balloons at other fans though. Alabama fans are crazy. A lot of SEC teams have their fringe fanbases.

Can you point out the post in this thread that says "Coach Anderson is a racist"? I can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance.
