Half empty Scum Center. The cheating commuter school struggling with a terrible team. Enjoyable evening.

UL will beat Sienna but they are going to lose a lot of games this year.

I can almost smell that box of 64 with the sharpener in back. We didn't need no stinkin subtitles on our crayons though.

UL is not very good
Maybe I am totally wrong, but I still think Louisville is a good team. They have talent. Their length on defense will keep them in most games. But they miss the coaching of Pitino.

I cannot hate Padgett. Feeling sorry for his being stuck trying to deal with that dumpster fire. At least he is getting paid well.
He didn't get stuck with it. Getting 900,000 to deal with it. Secondly, he was on that staff when the prostitution and buying of the players went down. In the inner circle. Married to one of Pitino's best buddies daughter. He was fully aware. Rather than clean house they kept it in the family

ehhhhhhh..... If they can successfully keep the ball from getting inside, play denial defense, they will be "ok." The guard play is in bad shape though. Snider has always been the master of meh. Not a bad ball handler, not a great one. Not a bad defender, not a great one. Not a great shooter....so on and so on. Maybe if perry can step up later in the season...they might be a little better. Right now they're a tournament team, field of 64.

They only retained him because their basketball team was emotional at the time and they felt forced.

Instead of doing the right thing, and telling the players that it's an institutional matter that must be dealt with, they folded like the cheap filth they are and opted to worry about basketball interests over their students.

He's just as guilty as the rest. He played for Rick, coached for Rick, and has close ties to the family. There isn't one sane and logical person who would bet cash he didn't know.

Louisville is about to self destruct and a large part of it is their own doing in the aftermath.

Yes. So many UK and UL fans discounting Pitino as a coach. In spite of his personal/professional extracurricular activities, the man can coach basketball and he made UL look better than they really are.

yup....ul fans convinced themselves that they have talent so many coaches can come in and keep them relevant and winning games. which is why card fans are crushing padgett right now. "talent is there, just bad coaching". however at some point this season most will realize that they actually dont have the talent they need to be a significant team.

pitino's brand as a coach and his ability to put fear into officials was good for 10 points a game. especially at home.

I watch UK play and they struggle some and look bad at times, but it's clear they have a ton of talent and potential. They just need to get some more coaching and game experience.

I watch UL play and struggle, and it looks a lot different from UK. They have juniors and seniors that look terrible and their bench is severely lacking in talent. UK will get much, much better by March, but I don't know how much room UL has to grow. They just aren't that good and they are gonna struggle the rest of this season.

They are back to exactly what they were for the 2 decades before they started cheating. A good but not elite program with a fairweather fanbase that manages an upperclass led team every 8-10 years and makes the elite 8 / final four once or twice. That's all they'll ever be unless they start cheating again. They went over 25 years without making a title game and then only got back there by cheating. They are on the level of Syracuse or Oklahoma or Uconn minus the 2 lucky titles, they just let Rick/Tom fool them into thinking they had joined the ranks of the blue bloods.

He coached so well at UL that he had one final four in 17 years there.

One final four since 1986. They are a mediocre program at best.
