Did you even read the thread? I never advocated for Cal to never play a zone. Robman argued that 3 different coaches who played zone all had a lot of success. (K, Pitino, Boeheim)

I told him 2 of those coaches only used it in spots, with Boeheim living or dying by it. So yeah, if you're arguing we should use it sometimes, then I agree. He also said playing a zone was a good way to cover the perimeter. Uh, no.

I never said it was a good way to cover the 3. I said you could guard the three and I'd rather give up open 3's than layups.

Mich state had a couple runs but the zone never let them get more than a 2-3 point lead. Syracuse never had the type talent Uk And Duke are getting. If super talented teams play the zone correctly they are virtually unbeatable
