It's going to be a frustrating roller coaster in November and December with this team. But I feel good about where they will be by mid season.
Will the NCAA suspend Diallo now that the announcers told the world that he played pick-up games this summer? Oh the horror of it!

Not really, he's scoring well...has a block and steal i believe..could def be worse. Does need to handle the p&r better however.
They keep talking about how tall and long we are, well it isn't helping rebounding.

Not sure we are on the same planet. I am watching the game on ESPN and UK is leading 36-24 with less than a minute to go in the first half.
Looks like a much improved team to me. Still a really long way to go, but this defense is a big improvement over what we saw on Friday.
Young and sloppy but they have a lot of potential Cal has a lot of options
John Calipari's refusal to go 2 for 1 makes me want to punch a hole through the wall.
Quade needs to snap out of it or SGA will be taking all those mins
It certainly is, I'll gladly take the 3 point play that Diallo got, but that wasn't a foul on the Vermont defender. Diallo barely brushed him as he stood motionless.

I agree. He and SGA are high energy guys. Diallo could make a Monk type impact this season.
Great run to push the lead. Draftexpress was right (as usual) about Knox as a shooter. Hami looking exactly like NBA scouts hope he would look. Wenyen looks exactly like last year Wenyen to me. P.J looks settled down. The team isn’t talking on defense though on screens. I’d like Cal to start P.J at C, Knox at PF (shot not falling so brining nothing on offense so put him closer to the basket) Wenyen at SF for spot up three and hustle rebounds, Hami and Shai
Seems guys are thinking that they HAVE TO SHOOT IT anytime they get it in the post. This has resulted in many poor shots that were basically just thrown at the basket. What has happened to kick it back out and reposition? They'll learn as they mature, but frustrating to me right now.

Honestly, I thought we would be down. Our guys make a lot of mistakes on defense, but their length makes up for it.
If they can get their defense figured out they will be better than most think.
Defense wins, it's been proven time and time again and that is something that freshmen can do as well or better than veteran teams.
But I'm hoping Cal can fix the offense a little too, there's not much going on there right now.
