All this anxiety - self included - over a pretty mysterious talent who won't have played an organized game in nearly a year by the time the season starts.

Definitely gives UK another very good weapon. Kid is an athletic freak as everyone knows. The big part that I think gets over looked is that he already knows what Cal wants and how he wants everyone to practice and play. Huge advantage for him and the team.
Plus, this kid knows without a shadow of a doubt that Cal is definitely all about his players because Diallo is Exhibit A of that very thing.

Add a brutal amount of depth and length off the bench.
Three things I like about this team. First, the depth. Without even accounting for Wynyard, we're going to be able to go 10 deep. And the depth is evenly distributed. Very nice.
Second, there is going to be some serious length. Excluding Green, we're going to be able to put some height and length at every position.
Third, the athleticism is off the charts. If you put SGA, Diallo, Knox, Vanderbilt, and Richards on the floor (purely as just one possible example), we've got rim rockers and elite athletes at every spot.
If this group of guys has (or develops) a Kidd-Gilchrist work ethic and the selflessness of AD, I honestly believe they're cutting down nets next year.
Yep, as a fan I've been critical of this deal but there's no doubt Cal loves his players and will run through a brick wall for them. Proud he represents our program and our state.
Or maybe Cal and his advisers wanted him to be the very last to decide to keep UK on everyones tongue. Now EVERYONE knows who he is and EVERYONE is talking about UK next year. Just a positive slant.
I swear, someone could cure cancer and some of you guys would post about being skeptical of how they did it. Just enjoy that UK is completely stacked. Jeesh.
