Blackberries (or picking them, at least). UK/NBAball what-ifs (or Friday PM discussion fodder):

Fox or Monk - who do we look back on in 10 years as the better NBA player? Fox

Diallo or Bam - who gets drafted first? Diallo

Briscoe or Willis - if you had to take one for an NBA squad and hope they earned some minutes. Willis

I could see Monk being another James Young or Jodie Meeks just as easily as a Monta Ellis or Joe Johnson.

If you want to compare Monk's ceiling to anyone, he's Wade with a better jumper. Maybe even Anthony Peeler.

Can we go with neither?
Sure... that's the 'right' answer. My point was that, with the way the NBA is going, a tall wing with the potential to be a spot-up shooter would probably outweigh (or be of more value for the scale-sensitive) the benefits of a smaller guy who can defend but without a proven jumper... yet Briscoe laughed off the thought of returning.

I see why he left, but if the only qualifier to the "should they stay or go" question is whether or not they can get paid somewhere to play basketball, I suppose we'll see the time where most top-tier HS players go to Europe or the eventual higher-salary D-league.

New zbb album dropped today. 10 tracks of beautiful 4 part harmonies, a man absolutely buzz sawing a fiddle and plenty of toe tapping. Great album. "Long Haul" ftw.

I can't confirm this but I'd bet my life UKALUM either attended or seriously looked into attending #fyrefest

Only a few weeks away from the return House of Cards. Couldn't be timed better, imo. Just wish I didn't have to wait until damn near forever for GoT. Honestly can't even remember where it left off.

Haven't watched a single second of the NBA playoffs but it seems like everything is going just fine. Manu Ginobli blocked a guy right? And everybody loves Gregg Popovich iirc. Cool

Finally caved in and bought myself a new (to me) rig. Had been driving my wife's hand-me-downs the last 7 years. Can't wait to see how much strange I can pull in this bad boy. It's a '97 Ford Ranger Splash edition. Think they call it a splash because - well - you know why [devil]6969

All time fruit-based patriotic experience:

My wife's best friend married this guy from Barbados (Bajan guy). The wedding was on Barbados and a group of forty of us stayed at a resort owned by a family friend. One day we all went out on a catamaran and when we stopped to swim the groom's mom broke out bags full of ripe mangoes from their tree(s?).

She tossed them down to us from the boat, but guess who couldn't catch? You guessed it, all of the hockey/figure skating Canucks and soccer/F1 fan Brits. I nabbed a few can of corn's and you would've thought I was Griffey climbing the wall to snag 'em. I was like the Johnny Bench of holding mangoes in one hand.

They quickly designated me as catcher of all mangoes and I rang up another win for the U-S-A.

BTW, this summer we're looking to summer at my aunt's in East Lansing for a long weekend (after driving up in my CPO Kia), so you could say I haven't stopped living the good life just yet!

So about a week ago, I was sitting on my porch and a friend came out of the next door house with this gal and they were both shipwreck drunk at about 3pm. He tells me how he just housed this gal and then gets a moment of clarity and says, "Oh ****, you work with her husband don't you?" I laughed a bit and said, "Yeah bud, I sure do."

So my question is, do I say anything or no? I mean, I'm not good buddies with either of them and I figure it's not my business. Plus, they're moving to Arizona in a week. Why ruffle feathers?
