The people pissed don't like:

1. The look of it. They don't like what it does to our image.

2. Frustrated we won't get to see Diallo play and worried about next year's squad.

Both are valid but I'd rather take a shot than bigtime it. I don't particularly give a **** about our image and having a chance at a Top 10 prospect is better than none at all.

Everyone Relax!! These kids need to reach their dreams and help their moms get out of poverty. ENJOY THE PROCESS.

You guys know how lucky we are to have 4 final fours in 10 years? Like what? Are you serious?

It's hard winning TITLES. I mean Uconn got lucky and won 2 but WHO CARES. Carolina has like 3 in the last 12 years but that doesn't matter. Brads tat says it best, EARNED NOT GIVEN.

4 seed and a sweet sixteen run, chill! [smoke]

Does anyone honestly think Diallo told himself or his family, "I'm going to go to U.K., use their facilities, never play a minute for them and then go to the NBA. You know, really pull one over on ol Cal."?

There is more than one way to build a championship program. Cal chose this way and it has worked pretty damn well so far. It's risky but Cal has shown he has the balls for it.

Some of you don't, apparently.

I just wish he had played him last season once he got here. So what if he leaves then because like others that leave early at least we got something in return for his time on campus, and who knows what happens in the tourney with the addition of that kid.

That's fine but in this specific situation would you have preferred Cal NOT take a chance he might play for us? Considering it cost is zip- I'd say it was worth the gamble.

I'm not really arguing against taking Diallo, just venting. Considering all factors, I would have taken him and we knew what we were getting into at the time.

In the big picture, even if Cal doesn't win another title (I think he will win 1 or 2 more), the benefits of having nearly half of the best young talent in the NBA having attended UK should pay dividends for decades to come, with kids wanting to come here. The Jordan Effect, but with dozens more players.

My biggest change with the program would simply be NOT having to the gauntlet every damn tournament. Having to beat 2-3 Top 10 teams to even get to the F4 every year is ridiculous.

If I heard correctly we put Johnson off while he was here. Assuming that means we're still going hard after Knox.
Put him off? Piss him off? Told him to wait we are still interviewing other candidates? Pissed in his cheerios? Whatever we did I don't like it one bit.

At least he still gets to wax Hayden Panettiere which is apparently physically possible even though it looks like it shouldn't be.

I wonder if he's gone out and killed anyone yet.

Buying a house in Lexington sucks right now.

Derby week, always wanted to take the entire week off and kind of immerse myself in it. Never happens. Anyone ever done Barnstable? I assume only would be fun with a group as I don't know boys to men or that guy who nailed Anna Nicole.

-Again... fans, elite players and Cal all have different (self-serving) priorities. Hopefully those priorities line up but when they don't I don't think anyone should automatically default to one as correct/best. Shades of gray atkot.

- Just finished mulching, aerating, overseeding and fertilizing. That Saturday evening grilling is just better after taking care of the yard.

- Local realtors knocking on doors and saying " I have someone that wants to buy your house. Their offer is $$$." Interesting times.

The Keys are terrible right now, everything is trough the roof in town. Market has to collapse at some point you'd figure. EVERYTHING is for sale because the asking prices are insane and a lot of people are getting what they ask for if not more.

*Twitter is the downfall of earth, but occasionally I find tidbits like this interesting, albeit depressing when you factor in we are OLD. From one thread this morning, "generational" show/movie debuts and the what that would represent today...
"That 70's Show" a show about 1976, debuted in 1998. Equivalent to a 1995 sitcom airing today.

"Dazed and Confused" also about 1976, came out in 1993. Equivalent to Movie about High School kids in 2000 coming out today.

"The Wonder Years" if debuted today would be set in 1997.

*Derby Week.

*I would rather work 4 12-hour days, than 5 8-hour days. Most probably work 5 10-12 hour days anyway.

Mandatory 3 day weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day --> profit.

It would be an absolute boon for the economy IMO.

We get "summer hours" on fridays during this time. Leave around 3p and profit.

I will also add that on the weeks that I do take a day off, I seem to get more done during the four days than if I work five.
