You have a losing mentality huh? I would hate to be like that. I once heard that if a man is satisfied with losing, then he will be satisfied with anything.
His record in the NCAA tournament at UK is better than anyone's I believe. How is that a loser's mentality? You guys are hell-bent to be miserable. Have at it.
So, if that's true, then he put together a team that was substantially better. Then you have to either conclude that as is true every year, **** happens. Or the blame is with Cal's coaching. We lost to the eventual champ on a buzzer beater. A team we had beaten by 3. They beat us by 2. We beat UCLA in the rematch. We won 32 games. Where exactly did he screw up?
Its about titles to me man. If we had Tubby's talent and getting to final fours I would be thrilled, but with the talent as it is, we should have more titles.
Just like to say that even though I don't like guys like Hump leaving and appearing to use the program as a tool for overseas water polo, I respect his opinion and it's his life. Hope he makes another NBA stud that we can use on the recruiting trail and be proud of. I sounded pretty harsh I just love UK and want to win. Period.
Sometimes it just feels like the fans and program are put in the backseat and told to shut up and like it way too often. But it is what it is.

We should. But I don't think it's got as much to do with the talent (too young), my issue is Imo Cal could have curved the issue by making room for guys like Kennard or Swainigan / Bridges who don't want to be OAD. There's a way to do both, and for some reason Cal sells himself short by overselling the quickest way only.
I've always said, I'd Cal wins another title the debate is over. That'll be 5/6
Final fours, no first round exits (possibly), and 2 titles in a decade.
That's the minimum I will accept as a fan from Coach Cal. Anything less and he simply underachieved to his potential.

This isn't the 70s anymore. No one is going on a UCLA run. I'd be surprised if we even see a repeat champ in a while. It's just the reality of this.

Don't get me wrong, I think Cal could have won 3-5. I just feel he missed the window. Some of that is totally self inflicted imo. But you cannot expect any coach to win 3-5 championships. For guys like Cal, Pitino, Roy, and even Izzo, 2 championships is the minimum. Unless you don't believe Cal is on Pitino's level.
It's totally acceptable for people to expect Cal to win multiple titles at UK if he's here over a decade. So far he's one final four up on Joe B Hall.
The thing is Cal's run isn't even up yet and we have some fans deeming it a failure.
My family and friends are around 30 hours away by plane. I have spent two years away. I might get more playing time next year or I might not but there is no guarantee. They are recruiting a guy that plays my position who is athletically gifted and has a lot of tools I don't.
Maybe I could throw my hat in the ring and go to the combine and see if I get drafted into the NBA. My consolation prize, if I don't get drafted, is I go home to my family and friends and I play professionally in my home country and make a decent living.

Roy Williams got 2 titles in his first 6 years at UNC with much less talent. I love cal and was super excited the day he was hired, but I do not like the way he is running things at the school that I love. We should not be losing deep fricken bench players and other teams returning guys who were all americans. According to this 30 for 30 Cal was quoted as saying "My job is not to win national Championships" wow, wow.

Whether they cheated or not, that doesn't change the quality of players he had.
