Nothing wrong with seeing promise and looking forward to the future. Just find it funny how everyone is posting standings and we're 5% through the most grinding sports season, like it means squat.

To the guy who visited SoCal once and is suddenly the mayor, I can see how my 5+ year work relationship with an area doesn't compare.

And every single fan I know has put out the caveat that it likely won't last. Hell, even Chris Welsh said so last night on the air.

PS you're an idiot.

I think it's funny that you're even discussing baseball. Didn't realize you actually watched.

Throw a game on in the background 3-4 nights a week. Love going to the yard, especially when I'm not shot at like last time I tried to take in a Reds game.

Been to Nats park two biscuits shy of a bakers dozen. Don't come in here breaking down the team because I know nobody gives a ****. Let me know what quota I have to meet to officially be allowed to root for the club. TIA!

Didn't we run into Deener at Gerstle's the night of the inaugural GYEROLYMPICS in 2011? Remember some form of a run in and Rob taking up for him.

I have yet to see one Reds fan who actually believes the Reds are going to roll all year and go to the World Series. I''m just happy it isn't shitstorm we were preparing for.

No. Stop making **** up.
You claimed you were in the bathroom and he walked in, you asked if he was Drew Deener, and he said no. I never saw him.

I'll tell you a night in Louisville that was more fun than the GYEROlympics night for this guy (due to not having a pulled hamstring)...

It was that night we went out after PTI's trivia contest fundraiser. That was a good time. I'm pretty sure Rob was our MVP, too.

Hell, one of the bands I used to watch back at EKU in the early 90's was playing. Great time.

An 8-year-old Ohio boy with a craving for a cheeseburger drove himself and his 4-year-old sister to McDonald’s Sunday night after learning how to drive by watching YouTube videos.

Police arrived at the McDonald’s in East Palestine, Ohio, around 8 p.m. Sunday after receiving multiple calls from people who saw the young boy driving, the Weirton Daily Times reported. According to authorities, the children headed to McDonald’s after their parents fell asleep early.

During the mile and a half road trip, the 8-year-old obeyed all traffic laws and drove “effortlessly” through downtown, East Palestine Patrolman Jacob Koehler told the Times.

“He didn’t hit a single thing on the way there. It was unreal,” he said.

The 8-year-old used money from his piggy bank to pay for the food.

Thumper and the Plaid Rabbits? Pretty sure they were also throwing metal at the inaugural Olympics after-party at Gerstles but like Rich, those outings all blend together.

Justin Jackson gone, agent.

-The Boston Celtics are the #1 Seed in the Eastern Conference. :eyes: That was fast. Stevens is incredible.

Danny Ainge has done a helluva job collecting talent and picks along the way. Isaiah Thomas has been incredible. Wasn't sure about a 1st and Thornton for him at the time, but he ended up being a steal.

This is one of those deals where you have to punish the kids, but after they leave the room you turn to your wife and say, "That was f***ing impressive."

Danny Ainge is doing a good job, but that **** is all Brad Stevens.

And on a similar note...Joe Maddon is awesome, and an outside the box kind of guy...cool manager, etc....but the Cubs transformation is 100% Theo Epstein.

Analytic math nerds getting it done!

I'm fairly certain Ainge was the one pulling the trigger on all of the deals to create this roster plus clearing up cap space for the up coming loaded draft. Stevens has done an incredible job but Ainge is a great GM.

"This Roster" wasn't supposed to get anywhere NEAR where they have gotten. Ainge, largely b/c of Stevens, has them in great position (now) going forward, for sure -- he's definitely gotten better over the years.

0 Avery Bradley
7 Jaylen Brown
99 Jae Crowder
30 Gerald Green
42 Al Horford
9 Demetrius Jackson
8 Jonas Jerebko
90 Amir Johnson
55 Jordan Mickey
41 Kelly Olynyk
12 Terry Rozier
36 Marcus Smart
4 Isaiah Thomas
13 James Young
44 Tyler Zeller

:flushed:

Yeah, I'd say Brad Stevens has a lot to do with their success.

ainge has done a pretty good job, but prokhorov ordered his inept GM to go get pierce & kg. kinda lucked out there

he also seems to fall in love with his guys, at the expense of acquiring a star-level player like cousins/george/butler. they didn't sign horford for 5 years from now

ball seems like a much better fit for them than fultz or jackson

The only thing I don't understand is why the Celtics aren't unloading their draft picks. You can only draft so many guys and they have 13 picks in the next 4 years.

getting crowder & a 1st round pick for rondo might have been ainge's best move

but as good as crowder & bradley are, there's no room in a rotation for the two of them plus smart, brown & rozier. and if you love your bench guys as much as ainge does, it should make it easier to use crowder and/or bradley in a package for a legit star

their window for making a blockbuster trade won't be open forever. and the last brooklyn pick declined in value the very instant it became jaylen brown
