ATT Park in San Francisco is used for over 250 events per year, less than half of them baseball related. It is one of the busiest stadiums in the country. It is also privately owned, completely paid off, and has completely revitalized that part of San Francisco.

The YUM! Center tho...[banana].

SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY

Work trip to San Diego in June. Very nice deal. 4 days. All the big wigs attend. My two closest co workers will be there.

OR

$4,000 - taxes.

:grimace::grimace:

(fyi -- like the united flight, this trip is oversold so they actually NEED volunteers to take the $$)

If it's pure Xs and Os, I take the cash and run. Book my own trip. But there's a lot to be said for attending and being seen with my associates.

Damn. All we needed was a group of private investors to put together $250M for a speculative NBA arena and we'd be pretty much set like San Francisco.

-I've said it before, but Lach's morning show is actually pretty decent. Range of topics. Lot of gambol talk. Pretty fair on UK and UofL.

I enjoy.

EDIT: Lach's a thin skinned unprofessional *****.

Bristol Motor Speedway is used for varying events over 300 days of the year. Only two days for NASCAR races and one day for a football game.

PTI... San Diego. You get to visit one of the most surreal places in the entire US and ******** with some of the big dogs you work with. I'm sure there will be plenty of time to play while out there.

Is it really fraud?

-I'd really enjoy a GSW/OKC series where Westbrook carries his team to a win. As fun as the NBA is to watch here and there I just do not see a meaningful series besides that.

-Weighing options of buying, building or moving out of state and all that comes with that headache the next few deciding months will be tough. Even though I already deal with a phase of building there is a ton that has caught me off guard for that option.

I did already book a trip to Disney with a few extra days to really get a grip on the area between Jax/St Augustine.

- Actually doing work on the yard and curb appeal this year. Good chance to show the kids a little work ethic with a $$$ reward. I guess this is how children learn to have ambition/drive.

- After splitting bank accounts with the wife I've been blessed enough to be busy and save quite a bit so far this year. Of course my statement was opened and she isn't the least bit happy to find out the "good" news. I know BBC and all but I just can't imagine going through her mail and seeing her with anything saved and not being pleasantly surprised at the success. Laughing at her hint of anger/jealousy/proving myself right that she spends too much was not the smart thing to do though.

-He did live a few doors down. They never sold the house but it was on the market. Then he wound up moving back. His kids were terrors.

-Today was my 17 year olds high school ring ceremony. A bunch of colleges gave book awards to students. Winston Bennett gave one away for UL. He told a quick funny story about Muhammad Ali and the went to giving the book award. It was some African American encyclopedia. He announces the winner and he says Dielan McLastname. This pasty white chubster gets up to accept his book. The counselor has to step in and correct Winston. He gets back on the microphone and pronounces the kid's name right. It was Dylan.

Guy pulled off the Key & Peele sketch perfect.

It's a great area. I can't believe how quickly it's growing here. I have a buddy in Atl looking to move down here after visiting. Wouldn't procrastinate because home values are sky rocketing right now. So much so we decided if our house hits a certain number, we're selling.

- If you ever find yourself comparing a situation/person to Hitler, just stop. Nothing else needs to be said.

- The good doctor may be bat crazy, but United can't just knock people out and drag them down the aisle to get them off a plane. Complete nonsense.

- The next 2 weeks are amazing as the trees finally spring to life. This town kicks all kinds of *** from a topography/beauty standpoint come Derby.

- This town does not kick *** with regards to the Yum! Center deal. That thing is vacant 75% of the year. Unacceptable. A beautiful building and setting...fill that bad boy up.

- Every time I go to California, I get sucked in. Not sure how I could transition a move back at this point of my life, but it is intriguing to think about. I think the real estate barriers to entry is probably the biggest drawback. The real estate prices out there are astronomical...so much that people have trouble moving b/c of "replacement cost". My friend has at least a million in equity in his home, but he'll have to overpay?? and buy on the high end if he decides to move, and it might not be as nice as his current home. Of course, he said the same thing the last time he moved...and prices just keep surging.

- Listened to Drew Deener for the first time in a long time yesterday...what a small market buffoon. NBA players don't play hard. The regular season sucks. College players never sit (yeah they play 30 games idiot). I'd rather watch the 5th race at Keeneland than the final round of the Masters. And on and on and on and on. I mean, I get it...I love college sports. But to completely close your mind to the outside world is incredibly short-sighted. Get out a little. Open your eyes. A lot happens outside of our small million man metropolis.

- The money around Silicon Valley/SF is truly like monopoly money. Makes me question a lot of the **** I see around here.
