The tag feature is great FYI.

Thanks for the reminder, I've been pretty busy the last few weeks.

I got quite a bit of early information overall especially with 2018, but not a whole lot of new UK stuff for 2017.

1. I have someone connected in on Bamba's camp through family, and he told me he'd let me know if anything changed. I've heard nothing new, so I'm assuming it still looks good with him for Cal. Plus, he's a perfect fit.

2. Knox to UNC or FSU would be my best guess right now. Nothing too newsworthy that I found out anti-Kentucky, just a lot of pro UNC stuff, and I refuse to believe that FSU is out of it. I know he sniffed around at Mizzou, but I would take all my visits also. Big time benefits on these visits.

3. I assume UK will get the Pitt transfer, although I don't have a great source, I think it just makes sense with all the connections plus he's skilled.

He can play, not great off the dribble but is very fluid with the ball for a 6'7-ish guy. He has to be okay without getting 30 minutes a game.

4. I am surprised UK doesn't have a 2018 commit at this time. Can't expand on that, I don't want to hurt UK's chances or the kid's moment. It's a really good one, and one you may not expect this early.

If it starts coming out on twitter and becomes public knowledge, I'll try and confirm it here. If it happens, you'll understand why.

5. I believe UK is in great shape with at least 4 top 7-8 type players for 2018. Williamson, Bagley, Reddish, and Langford. These recruitment are early, but what I heard in Phoenix (Bagley especially) is that Calipari is going to get multiple studs.

Lastly, you guys may know more about who your team is targeting than I do, so just @ me and ask and I'll work on it.

I'll try and start checking it more.

Wouldn't you think if Cal gets the Pitt transfer, there's no way for Knox coming here. Are we reaching thinking Knox has strong interest playing with other big players in his class? He's got to have seen the Towns team and saw the potential.

Would rather have a proven Johnson (giggity) for two years than an unproven freshman Knox who will more than likely be gone in 1 year anyways.

I always thought Quickley would be our first commit. If I had to predict someone who may not expect this early it would be Reddish or Javonte Smart. Just don't see guys like Bagley, Zion or Langford coming on this early.

I don't believe Smart holds an offer from UK at the moment but I could be wrong.

I promise you the one thing he did see from the Towns team is that Towns went #1 in the draft and WCS, Lyles, and Booker were all lottery picks and that Booker didn't even start. I think that's what he probably remembers most.

That's the other thing. The net Cal has cast so far has been small. Only kids w confirmed offers per NextCats are Zion, Reddish, Quickley, Langford, Grimes and Bagley. Take your pick on who the early commit would be, I'd be ecstatic with any of the above.

Yes, absolutely. Give me any of those players to start the class and that is great. 2018 team has a chance to be the most talented team that Cal has ever had if everything shapes out like most think with the players in the class, and then some hold overs from the 2017 class.

This could very well be Cal's best team if Green, Washington and Richards come back and we add Langford, Bagley and Williamson. Those freshman could literally be 1,2 and 3 in the draft.

Add players like Johnson (if we get him from Pitt), Alexander, Baker and the possibility of a Vanderbilt returning and it just gets down right scary.

Yeah, I didn't even mention some of the secondary guys. I figure we will lose one of Vanderbilt or Washington, just hope not both.

Very likely that Diallo, Vanderbilt and Washington are one and done. Richards is going to be 20 when the season starts, I'm sure his plan is to be one and as well if the opportunity is there.
Exactly.. Cal also sold Green on being a OAD.. Told him if he's not,, he failed him as a coach.. Doesn't mean he'll be one,, but that was his sales pitch..

Great news this morning. 2018 I hope turns out the way you are hearing CoachX11. As far as Knox many believe he is headed to UNC** cheaters but I have learned over the years that we never give up on Cal.

Carolina would have a nice starting 5 with Knox. Honestly hope it's Missou or FSU if Cate don't get him.

Knox at UNC totally depends upon berry staying. They've made it clear they want to Knox to play somewhere where there's a good point guard.

G Quickley
G Langford
F Reddish
F Williamson
F Bagley

On paper, that would trump the Fab Five by a mile.

No true post player, but heck Cal would have to play those five together if they came. Who could you bench?
