Heck Even Jay Williams tweeted that the refs must have had UNC in their brackets.
They were awful in the first half...average in the second half. The game was too big for them early on...even Raftery said they needed to "settle down."
1st half was brutal, one sided officiating but it's on you if you lose when up 5 with 5 to go.

Fox could have been shanked on the last play and they weren't going to call anything.
We played a lot of the 1st half without Fox, Monk and Willis. Who knows what happens if they are out on the floor, kudos to Hawk and Hump for picking up the slack !
Agree completely...I'm just saying, given the caliber of the game, these officials weren't very good.

If Calipari doesn't call it out soon, I'm done. This is ridiculous. It's not just the officiating. We get an absurd draw every year, and are often underseeded. He just keeps on trucking though. Screw that. Grow a pair.

I thought monk got fouled on his three to tie by there was no call. We certainly got called for bumps in the three point range (2 if I recall). Piss poor called game the first half, much better in the 2nd, but that last four minutes was brutal for us. NC made two roughly contested shots after getting down 5 which was the difference in the game :-(
Maybe you're okay with investing a lot of time and passion into something, only to get screwed over every single year. I'm not. We get it all throughout the SEC season. We then get screwed over with our path, and we're often underseeded. Hell, now we gotta play 8 on 5. I'm simply saying that he could use his platform at UK to call it out. I don't think that's a bad thing.
Until the NCAA takes action against it's officials it doesn't matter. UNC shouldn't have gotten past Arkansas even. This is the 2nd game they win due to having 3 extra players on the floor.
The first half was as bad as it gets. UNC bigs over the back, hacking the drives and apparently are allowed to camp in the lane. How do you think they get so many offensive rebounds? They never leave the paint. It ain't cause they're athletic.
Yea the referees absolutely sucked, but the Basketball gods weren't with us today.With 5 minutes to go and up 5,the game was decided by two straight possessions and Roy going to a zone.The NC player went down the left side and hit a tough shot. Next possession Jackson gets hung up in the air and throws crap up and it goes in. Didn't attack the zone at all, some times things go your way and other times they don't.Tough loss, but a damn entertaining game.
Good thing we had Mitch on the committee.

Without getting into this particular game, disagree strongly with your premise. We were out of sorts all day. Maybe we'd have been up 12 with 5 minutes to go if the officiating wasn't "brutal." Why should either side have to overcome "one-sided officiating"? That's effectively spotting one team points.
The problem is the officials aren't held accountable. Cal calling them out would probably only make it worse. It would make him even more of a target for them than he already is.
Besides, I actually thought we got a decent whistle against UCLA. I thought we clearly fouled them on 3 3 point shots in the second half(Alford hit one). I was worried it would even out on us today and it did.
Still hard to swallow so many big calls going against us in close games. The goal tends, the shot clock violation. We still had a chance though. We really didn't play well today.

Nothing worse than is already happening , we're targeted and have been because the NCAA doesn't want one & dones to be the champs if they can help it . The refs and brackets on a yearly basis is all too obvious

How'd you like to have those 4 points back that were waived off by Higgins on BS calls? He also made sure Fox/Monk/Bam had 2 fouls in the first half. Pretty sure he called most of those if not all of them
Basketball Gods god didn't have anything to do with it. NC should not have even been playing. I agree every freaking year why does everyone say boy that is a beast of a bracket and guess who is in it UK. I think Cal or our AD needs to say something or a lot of our fans are going to just stay home. It cost way to much money to go and get screwed seems that is why we are starting to get more people at the sec tournament

Honestly, if that's your take, maybe you should just find another hobby, or another team to root for. I know you're just too emotional right now to make any sense, but if your take is to get rid of Cal because the NCAA "hates him" then this may not be for you.
Are you kidding? Yes, I'll take that chance. Look at our history. How many coaches have more than one championship. But he gets us on position every year. Even as poorly called as the game was in the first half we almost pulled it out. Cal gets not only talented players but good kids. I like that combination.
