Is it OK to question Self now?

As long as you question coach K too. Only been to the elite 8, 3 of the last 13 tournaments. If self and cal for instance coach 45 years like K, their title count will grow too

No it's not ok! How can you question a coach who has won 187 straight regular season conference championships?? Who cares about getting to the Final 4 on a consistent basis? It's more impressive to win your conference every year because all those teams know each other so well.

As I said a few days ago, it's too early to pencil KU as the title favorites. Self always chokes when it looks like KU has too much talent to not get to the final four. Many thought Jackson was too talented to let it happen, but as we now can see, Self can never have enough talent to lock in the final four. Maybe in the future Self fixes this problem with his tourney coaching, but not today.

i guess 9 of his 13 NCAAT losses have come on the 2nd game. guess he cant prep a team in short notice. he also has not one the big12T as often considering how they dominate the conference

Two of our scorers didn't show up tonight. That said, I don't understand why Coach put Josh back in during the first half....Josh wasn't rebounding for fear of fouling. I question some of Self's decisions but he is a great coach and I'm glad we have him. Good luck tomorrow against UNC.

Sometimes the jumper doesn't go through the hoop, but the real problem was they let Bell make them timid at the rim.

I don't think Self is an awful coach but for whatever reason he can't get it done in the tournament. He should've had another title in 2013 but a miracle shot by Michigan pushed the game into OT and his team lost. However, his one title came on a miracle shot as well and if Derrick Rose could've hit a free throw then he wouldn't even have that to his credit.

It was ok to question him before. He has choked many times in this, and people say Cal can't coach. SMH
I don't think people say that. He is stubborn, and will win, or go down in flames his way, but nobody said he cannot coach at all. People criticize cal for having the best talent year in, year out and in 30 years only having 1 title to show for it. That's where people give him a hard time on his X's and o's. I personally wish he coached here long enough to pass UCLA in titles.

That would give cal 15 years to win 4. Could he do it? I hope he does.
