Torn between Elmer T Lee, Woodford Double Oaked, or Bookers. But either I'm starting with Bourbon Barrel b/c that's what I started with every tournament game so far.

I had two Makers last night. At half I started to slink upstairs for a 3rd but my wife (teetotaler religious gal) put a stop to my plan

Your state makes wonderful bourbon

I feel cheap for sipping on this Eagle Rare I was gifted. I wanted to get my stomach ready so I actually started about a half hour ago.

It's got to be from Kentucky to be real bourbon. The other stuff is whiskey, or whisky

I was given a big bottle of Larceny by my son for Christmas. I really like it.
I also like the others mentioned above, 4 roses, regular or single, 1792, Woodford, Bookers, Weller also.
I imbibe straight, with two small ice cubes and am a sipper.....but I will sip a good bit on occasion.
Go Cats.....lets do this tonight.

Start with Michter's rye; then to the Woodford Double Oaked if the game looking good. If not, then VOB 100 proof-the best cheap bourbon there is.

This.
I was gifted some 2 year crap from Indiana for Christmas, I couldn't get it down, it was awful.
I've never bothered with a non-Kentucky bourbon. I'll be Buffalo Trace-ing it tonight. I have a bottle of Talisker Distillers Edition scotch someone gifted me I'm saving for the Final Four.

Got some Willett, the Weller is on my "to get" list, never had it, but would love to.

Honestly, I'm not a bourbon expert by any means but I have been getting different bottles for a little bit under the $60 range and weller just isn't one of my favorites. Everybody talks about it like it's great but I think it's simply because of the pappy relationship. I have four roses single barrel (can be found anywhere) and actually like it better. Of course they're different bourbons though.

I also had johnny drum and actually like it a lot. It's sweeter than most bourbons which I like, but some people don't like it because of that. Anyway, hope you find some weller but don't have your expectations set so high that you'll be disappointed. It's good, but the hype is just over the top to me.

Johnny Drum is a Willett bottling, so you can't go wrong there (except pot still is pretty bleh...).

Note: I'm a huge Willett Family Estate fan. I grab the higher-end gift shop single barrel releases any time I'm back home visiting family. Top shelf stuff right there. :)
