And as far as the media/ESPN goes Arkansas and SC are in a no lose situation. If they win it's s huge feather in their hats and they move on to the sweet 16. If they lose... well they just lost to the two GREATEST BESTEST MOST SUPER programs of all time from the MEGA AWESOMEST EVER conference... so no big deal.

I'm still upset with Vandy and how they played so stupid down the stretch and just handed the game back to NW. There is no excuse for what happened in the final 30 seconds or so and we could/should have been looking at 5-0 for the conference right now. I'm no Vandy fan but did want to see the conference do really well in the NCAA. Well, all except Arkansas really, and now I have to be a fan for them since they play UNC next.

USC jr is actually matches up fairly well against Puke. Thornwell and Dozier need big games but Puke can't guard anyone and S Car can. Game will be tighter than you think in Greenville

If either SEC team is on the verge of beating either ACC team, ESPN will press their Buffalo Wild Wings button and the refs will act accordingly.

Sadly, you are totally correct on this. I was hoping the SEC would do well in the tournament. Not sure why I should care, because Arkansas doing well doesn't help SC for example. But I am tired of all the hype for the ACC. I see teams playing that are no different than SEC teams, yet they talk about how great they are. Clemson of all teams, was talked about being a bubble team when they were 5 games below .500 in their league games and around .500 overall.

But after watching Duke get their usual preferential treatment vs Troy yesterday, I know what's coming for SC. I predict they will hit Silva and Thornwell with 2 quick fouls, causing them to have to sit out most of the first half. They'll then give them their 3rd early in 2nd half basically making them play tentative the rest of the way. Then the refs will hit Silva with his 4th around the 10 minute mark. I've watched Duke and NC get the Jordan Rules treatment for 45 years. I expect nothing different tomorrow. But I do think SC matches up well with Duke (if we can continue to score well).

Don't forget ROYALTY....

Really ESPN? UNC, UCLA, and Duke...

I guess we are on that next level with Louisville and Arizona now.

If only we were the leader in wins with the greatest tradition in college basketball....

I couldn't agree more. If you're in the ACC and manage to play Duke, NC, or UofL close, you're suddenly worthy of tournament discussion despite your losing record in conference play.

I'll be pulling for SC hard. I didn't think they'd get by Marquette, but I was totally wrong about that. Best of luck to you... although we both know how that whistles going to go.

I think they match up pretty good too. It will be interesting to see how Dook responds to usc's D. If the refs don't call tight and let them play I think it'll be a good game. But let's be honest, the refs will call it for Dook if it gets tight.

I could care less if the SEC went 1-4 as long as the one was us. I wasn't rooting for Arkansas, Vandy, Florida or South Carolina to win any of their games the first game.

Now the 2nd round is a different story. I will root for all of them because I would like to see Duke, North Carolina and Virginia lose.
