Nobody talking about the instant classic between Mizzou and Auburn last night ? What a game, and watched every damn minute of it. :basketball::beer:

That was Kim Anderson's first SEC win ever outside of home. :eyes:

Stick it up your touching *** [laughing]

Well done, Kim. Seems like a good dude.

Mizzou won't be in the SEC cellar next year, they have some good young players. Cuonzo Martin or Tom Crean, who ya got?

Who's everybody's favorite small conference sleepers this year?

Asking because I saw Bucknell last night and I think they can do their Bucknell thing this year against an unsuspecting opponent. Like if they were a 14 seed and their 3 seed was Florida State? Could pull the trigger on that one. The Patriot League has had some teams do that in the last 15 years. It feels like they almost always play that opening round tough.

And these guys haven't won their conference yet but Middle Tennessee is straight filthy. They picked up Jacorey Williams from Arkansas after he beat the crap out of some folks down there and got kicked out of school, and that kid is probably a little too good for the Sun Belt.

I'm aware of his history. Feel bad for the guy...he knew what he was getting into, but he wanted to try and help his alma-mater. Seems genuinely loved and respected across the country by his peers.

Many say Howland wanted & pursued the job, but Mizzou was committed to giving Anderson a shot.

-JaQuan Lyle doing a nice job leading OSU to their worst 2 year stretch in 15 years, keep stuffing the stat sheet young fella.

In entertainment news-

Jennifer Lopez dating Alex Rodriguez feels like a fitting capstone to the 2000s. We may now all proceed to feel nostalgic about that decade.

If they both win their conference tournament I'd say Princeton and MTSU will both be 5/12 or 6/11 upsets.

Of the teams that have bids already I think UNC-W has the best shot to pull an upset, they gave Duke a scare last year.

FGC, they are back to the ole Dunk City. The Jack Rabbits are another team that can put a scare in someone. That boy Mike Daum (in my Ron Simmons voice) is a baller.

Per Mayor Fischer Louisville isn't host to a SEC University so the city of Louisville will never be in contention to host a SEC Tourney. That's a shame but then again I totally understand since that place is printing money and is always booked up in mid March. Understandable, really.
As a mayor, you should take every opportunity to avoid having millions of dollars dumped into your local economy. That's just good governance.

Not many people are talking about Wichita State this year, but they rolled through the MVC Tournament with ease and seem to be peaking right now with a pretty balanced team that shoots 40% from 3 as a team.

Michigan flew in to D.C. this morning for their noon tip, and the plane skidded off the runway. They might push their game back, now.

Higher the seed the better, folks. I heard them saying something about a 2, but I just couldn't stand for that. I pulled Mark and Pete aside and told'em, you guys I don't know what you're trying to do, but we're at least a 6 or 7. I know Kansas and North Carolina are sure fire 16s, but guys they'll have my hide back in Lexington if we aren't at least a 5.

You never have to read BTI's "articles", but if you decided to, you can definitely stop reading after...Because to compare how much the committee “screws” UK and “helps” Duke the only fair comparison is when they are the same seed line.

I know what he is referring to. I'm talking about who the hell Chaince is and the article.

It was my way of searching for a link.

The SEC tournament can't be held at an SEC home arena so under the mayors reasoning the SEC tournament is only held in secondary arenas in Lexington, Starkville, Tuscaloosa, Athens, Tallahassee, etc.

The resentment towards UK is definitely prevalent in certain areas. It's been amplified in the last 15 years or so as UL ushered in the TOMMA old English growth mode. I'd say their fanbase as quadrupled in the last 15 years. Pitino, football success, wining the the title in 2013, the attractiveness of going to watch a game at the YUM from an entertainment standpoint.

Growing up they had their core fans but nothing like today. Not even close. They also have grown this massive attitude over the years I suppose is by product of their success.

There's still more UK alumni in Greater Louisville than any other city so that helps. It still astonishes me when people ask why are you a UK fan? I've gotten better about it versus say where I was in March 2014 before that team took off. The day UL routed UCONN at home during RUSS AND LUKE'S senior day and we got our *** kicked by Florida was a very bad day for me. Ruined the lassy's friend's surprise Bday at St. Molly's that evening. Had to be separated from an acquaintance who is a wannabe Pitino/Vinny hanger on who kept talking **** to my face about Cal and the Forde make your bed column. Had enough and just lost it. Got sent home by Brennan the manager of Molly's. Think the lass had seen enough and she had a real coming to the lord with me the next morning.

2 weeks later in Indy when we sent em packing was maybe the happiest night of my life outside of my wedding. Sad but true.
