Verne has always had trouble with names...much ado about nothing. Whining in some degree about the announcers is as sure here as death and taxes.

Vern looked bad to day. I wish him well but he did not look good. The man is bloated bad. Looks like an engorged tick.

I'm gonna stick up for Ole Verne. Most guys his age can't keep up with their own kids and grandkids names much less some random person he sees maybe a couple times a year. I'm sure he got DeAndre on his mind when CBS did the graphic comparing DeAndre Jordan to Robert Williams. Still infinitely less annoying than Vitale.

De'Aaron changed his name today to De'Andre...Fox...These guys need to stay up with the basketball action and stop trying to name off every sports moment of the week. I want to know who the foul was on, and who is coming and leaving the game. They are somewhat better than a few others we get from time to time.

Prolly because DeAndre Jordan played for Aggies. ***** and moan about everything lol

I noticed at one point ol' Verne added 3 inches to Malik Monk also, said he was 6'6"

That one made me chuckle. I was thinking a 6-6 player with Malik's game could be another Michael Jordan.

He had a hard time with the A&M senior saying it was his LAST game in an A&M uniform --- then later was reminded by the truck and his partner that they might get an NIT bid --- how stupid to forget the SEC tournament --- Tim to retire Verne!

I wish Verne would hang around another ten years. He's class and a classic.
He and Gary Danielson calling SEC game of the week will never be the same.
Throw back to '97 against LSU: Verne "I don't think he made it". Danielson "No way!". Verne; Kentucky wins!".
How could you not love that?

Verne has been a great sportscaster but he is tired and wore out, add to that he is a football guy and isn't up on Basketball. He needs to enjoy the rest of his life and leave the broadcasting to the young guys.
