Great comeback for sure. But we can't keep making comebacks against good teams. We were playing at home, on senior night against a team that was 16-13. A 13 loss team and we got down 19. I take nothing good from that at all. These slow starts will send us home early if keep doing it.

Vandy may be 16-13,but you need to remember that they started this season with a brand new coach after losing Stallings ,they have 2 or 3 Seniors,4 or 5 Juniors, and some talented players that got off to a bad start with the changes but they had won 5 of their last 7 games and have been playing their best ball of the year. It's not like they are total slouches, they lead the SEC in 3 pointers made and 3 point %.Vandy is just a couple players short of having a very good team.
I agree the slow starts are aggravating, but I wouldn't be too worried,I think you'll see a different team in the NCAA Tourney, they'll turn it on then.

Hope you are right, but it seems to be a pattern with this bunch.

Agree except on "nothing good". This team added a dimension last night about how hard they have to collectively play to win. That can only be learned by failure + success. May not change our kids, but it might. And that's the positive.
We have to hope that the guys will finally grasp just how hard you have to play to beat any good team, let alone a great one.

If they play with same intensity for 40 minutes that they played after falling way behind last night, there isn't a team in the country we can't beat.

Listen you; Spiced rum and diet pepsi is my preferred elixir. BUT, "When I drinks Whiskey, I drinks Whiskey and when I drinks Water, I drinks Water." -M. Flynn

[cheers]

side note: I like me some spiced rum as well - you ought to try it in apple juice.

It seems like victory always means more if you have to really work for it.

Plus, our usual suspects here abandoned Cal and the team after their (admittedly) horrible start. Watching them backtrack and then scurry for cover as we made our come back was great fun.

Finally, locking up another SEC crown is something that never gets old.

Sweet, sweet win!
We won? I missed the game and read the boards, I thought we got killed
