The most commonly used slur on this site. People who call other fans idiot are uneducated and with out a solid ground for debate. It is the term people who can't think run to. A different perspective does not make you right when you call someone idiot. These players play for a program that has NBA numbers following. I'm sorry but if a player or coach isn't getting it done we cam chime in here. We can say "this guy has checked out" "this coach made the wrong decision" etc but I don't see those critical fans screaming idiot at our players or whatever other slur. So here is the question. Why is it not ok for fans to degrade a player yet fans can degrade fans? I've been on this site 15 or so years and watched while tubby was ripped to pieces yet when we call a player out on their performance well facts go out the window and the word idiot begins to fly. UK fans eat their own like no other program I've seen. You can have a different opinion but you don't have the right to personally insult people. I hope the mods read this and begin to delete posts in which uk fans call one another idiot or other slur. You can criticize a poster by saying "i don't agree here's where you're wrong" instead if throwing insults. Are you here to discuss uk hoops or get your rocks off by throwing around slurs to try and degrade the people who are on your team? Every fan base is critical of their teams uk isn't even close to the worst. Where we are the worst is how we eat our own. I don't see this with other fanbases and this is where uk fans gets the bad rap attacking their own.

You know what I owned up to it. It wasn't the worst thread it was a very accurate observation, regardless anyone who doesn't like it doesn't all the sudden have the right to throw term like idiot around.

The way monk played at Missouri and the first half against Florida was justified to call him out. As a matter of fact someone on the staff called him out. Is he an idiot too? With fox injured twice in a 40 game season and monk turning the ball over and not producing it's good for him he had a break out half and so what if their stick drops? Why is it your or anyone else's job to stand up to a fellow fan??? Those guys will make more than 99% of us in the NBA so why resort to these tactics???

When it gets thrown around so loosely I wonder whether or not these types are abusers. Generally people who use idiot do do toward everyone around them in an abusive manner.

You handled this post in a positive way and I agree with OP that name calling and making light of someone elses post is out of control on here. It is not hard to figure out who the reasonable folks are and who the headhunters are. You explained your position without being derogatory and that is the way in my opinion things should be handled, we all make mistakes. If I were running this site the first time someone verbally assaulted another they would get their privileges revoked for a small period of time and after three outbursts they would be eliminated. Most of the better posters(those that actually have good info) have abandoned this avenue of discussion board. I would go a step further and say that many are like me and come to this board to follow the Cats and see what is going on and not to be shot out of the sky like we are the enemy.
