Hey Guys, I just wanted to post my new Bracketology projections. I have the Cats as a 2 seed in the East Region right now. If you look at Ranking The Bracketologist site, you will see that my group (Switching The Coverage) ranks no 2 overall!

I'd be more than happy to answer any questions about where the Cats could get to or what their ground floor is at this point. I've been a Kentucky Basketball fan for over 25 years now!

Also if you guys would like, we have an awesome podcast weekly (we intertwine culture in with sports- very hilarious yet thought-provoking). Switching The Coverage on SoundCloud and ITunes.
Would love your feedback!

why East and not South?

Were we below UCLA on your seed list?

UCLA has now 3 top level wins against top 10 competition (2 on road) and while geography is factor, the true seed line will still play in. I have UCLA one ahead of Kentucky now because of those 2 new elite wins since the top 16 unveil. Honestly, East bracket in this run looks better than South.

I agree about the East probably being better than the South.

As far as UCLA ahead of UK the two are close. I could see it.

Not a bad bracket at all

I was thinking we'd get put in the South..............
Not as linear as Kentucky a 2 and now in south. Lville wouldn't be put in South with UNC because 1/2 line never in same conference and UCLA one ahead so they would go South before East with regards to distance and that leaves Kentucky in East.

I would rather be in the East against Nova, than the Midwest vs KU. We need UL to rise/drop off the 2 line.

The big question is what does Letardi have against UCLA?....he still has them as a 3 seed.

If its because of their relative RPI and SOS...then how is Gonzaga still a 1 seed.

26-3 and ranked 2nd & 3rd in each poll with 2 of the best road wins in the nation.

Remember Lunardi is very good at predicting the field and the 1 line, but he is subpar at everything else b/c he doesn't look as closely at the rest of the field, and particularly bracketing principles. Also I believe b/c UCLA has added some quality wins outside of @Kentucky, the eye test will also take over and he is on crack if he doesn't believe Bruins one of top 8 teams in country (regardless of lack of D).

IF UCLA wins out and Gonzaga slips up again, UCLA can steal the 1. No way the fall to a 3, that is crazy. Lunardi is past his prime, he is not longer MR. Brackets in my eyes.

Syracuse, no way I want to face them in rd 2. They showed last year how dangerous they can be if they get hot. And as of now they are in, they will get the benefit of doubt after last years run when people said "no way Syracuse deserves to be in the field." They went out and earned it. With the wins they have this year, they deserve it again.

How do we match up with Syracuse? I've had a strange feeling all season long that they'd try to put us up against them and that damn zone. I can see the committee really enjoying that.

This Cuse team is very inconsistent offensively and if they are not making shots, its harder to set up the zone, and they are not as disciplined in the zone this year as Beheim teams are traditionally. They lost to LVille by 20 yesterday giving up 88. UK would beat them by 15 at least.
