See ya next year.....when you have another sell out. I know you guys will be jacked up and ready to play. Maybe, you and your SEC brethren will take basketball seriously. Not just when you play us at home. I would suspect that Fox is fired. He should be. With the amount of talent that Georgia produces in basketball, there is no excuse for being so mediocre. Atlanta produces enough talent every year to make the NCAA tournament. Later.

If these ****** SEC teams played the Popcorn St's like they do the Cats we would have more than 3 in the NCAAT..Next game look for Frazier to score 12 or so
Was thinking the same thing. Everyone gets up for UK and look like crap the next game. If Georgia would play every game like they do against UK they could make the NCAAT.

I know this is often the narrative on this board, but it's rare our guys don't play hard. Fox is our problem.

I was worried about this game tonight as I think you all have a very good team. Georgia needs to play every game like they do against us. Hope you all make it to the NCCAT. I think you all could surprised some teams.

I agree, I don't think we can put UGA in that category. They have won the games they were supposed to win and barely lost the games they weren't supposed to win.
Now teams like UT, Vandy, Auburn, Mississippi State and LSU…. they suck until UK comes to town.

Good lord some of you are hyper-sensitive.
The guy was talking about how opponents get up for the better teams in the conference, and referenced a year Florida was very good. How is that "talking ****"?

i didn't realize anyone was talking ****, if you think teams don't get up to play the only teams that are usually ranked in the conference to get big wins to help their resume for the tournament i don't know what to tell you...
I think you're partially right, it's not all of them.
But most of these teams don't get big crowds until UK comes to town. Crowds generate energy for their team.
So I think some of this is on the pathetic fans that only show up for big games.

most of UKs points to win in the last 6 minutes were from the line, not much to complain about on that end...
Frick off Gator fan. Payback is comin' and it won't end well for you my friend. :boxing:

Out of curiosity, what's the crowd like at other Georgia home games? Any other sellouts this year?
Oh the crowd is definitely fickle, but outside of watching Kentucky play, our style of play is boring, we don't get the recruits necessary to get to the next level, and Fox doesn't play our freshmen. Nobody wants to watch that ****.

Congratulations to to the Dawgs for a great, highly competitive game. Our once removed high school kids learned more about big boy basketball today and escaped at the foul line. All the best for a continued successful season.

I was half expecting it, to be honest. A takedown like that is not a common foul. Should have been a tech at least.

Maybe one of these days we'll decide to close one out on y'all.
he would not have been able to take the guy down if he hadnt elbowed him in the chest. The way I saw it the UGA dude elbowed briscoe in the chest knocking him backwards and briscoe held on to his arm as he was falling. elbow to the chest should have been a foul for clearing out.

Thanks for the posts on Maten. Appears to be serious, unfortunately.
Dang, I hope not. I hate to see anyone blow a knee out. I destroyed mine years ago and have been through 5 surgeries. Finally had to have a total knee replacement @ 16 years ago. Knee injuries suck. Hoping for the best for Maten, that young man is a baller.

What an awful way to be taken out like a a bowling pin. Between this and all his throat slashing gestures at Rupp a few weeks back I don't really like this briscoe character. The rest of your guys seem pretty stand up.

Are you suggesting Briscoe took Maten out intentionally?

Not at all. More towards his general hotheadedness. Although in his defense I didn't see the elbow others mention that led to the takedown move.

Alas it is late and that was a long ride home.

Lol,that guy

Are you under the impression kentucky doesn't have WAY more talent than UGA or Tennessee

Frick off Gator fan. Payback is comin' and it won't end well for you my friend. :boxing:

why are you getting hostile about me simply pointing out what happened with facts? How are you turning it into this kind of smack talk? You act like Florida will just be some easy team to pound, when was the last time uk got beat by 22? You act like they can't even compete because the game is on a different color court this next time.

how do you know what i think either way, but you act like any Gator fan should just expect a worse as bad as it was the other way around the first time or worse as a fact... That's rather silly don't you think. Florida is a lot better than UGA, UT and Bama don't you agree

they are the only two teams in the SEC worth a damn playing each other in Rupp after the first meeting was lopsided. We've seen this situation many times before. Florida has yet to be blown out of the water by anyone this year and all their losses were close games against the #1 team in the country which UF led the entire game until the final few minutes of the game, FSU the same on the road and Duke in the Garden leading most of the first half. Anyone expecting a blow out when no one including the top teams in the nation not giving them a big loss yet is just kind of odd. No one is great this year and just handing other good teams big time losses this year when they face off, the first meeting with UF and UK is one of the exceptions by 22...

All I'm saying is Florida will get their asses kicked when they visit Lexington. Your 5th year PG will have to face a healthy Fox this time and we'll run your asses out of Rupp. Count on it.

Thanks man. See, that's the thing though, our ceiling was tonight. We won't ever get the elite talent, and we will always be the bridesmaid in big games. Just the way it is.

I disagree. Y'all have played some tough games and hung right in there. It won't be long before you're winning those games. You'll get over the hump. Really glad it wasn't tonight. But you're getting too good and competing in too many games not to.

Congrats to the Cats. Same stuff for us time and time again. I know you guys aren't proud of Briscoe.
You have to be a redneck cat fan pretending to be a Georgia fan , surely a Georgia fan wouldn't post that we wouldn't be proud of Briscoe . What did he do to not be proud of ? Besides getting baited by the thug play of Georgia .

Georgia fans acting like it was all Briscoe on the takedown. Dude elbowed him first and it was a carryover from the previous time they became entangled. Also, the frickin' refs gave you every opportunity to stay in the game. From the bullshat walk on Willis at the end of the first half to the constant pushing off by Frazier with his off arm to clear out space. Home cookin' at it's finest.

I'M sorry but that was a walk and a few other times it could have been called. No matter if I'm a Gator or any other team, it's a rule from 6 years old and up. Frazier did push off some but so does the Cat players and Gators, etc. It happens. If you have ever played the game, you know damn well it happens.

Tonight was a great game and a great win by the Cats on the road. UGA had a bad deal with Maten and I hope he is ok but was a great game between two teams that wanted the W. The Cats pulled it off on the road and well respected.

Great game Cats and Dawgs. Was a great basketball game to watch as a neutral fan. Also glad to see Fox has fully recovered from his illness. Good luck to both. And Cats, we will see you guys next Sat.

THIS ONE HUNDRED TIMES OVER

It wasn't just Frazier going bonkers unfortunately. We did a really bad job defending thst pick n roll. Which has been the case most of the season.

The three he chucked in before the half was probably the only shot he hit that I thought was crazy.

I thought we fought through the bad officiating though. A couple weeks ago we lose this game. It's nice to have David Duchovny back.

I can't imagine us blowing Florida out. I know they lost their big guy, and I think that clearly effected how they played against Miss St. But when they come to Rupp they'll have had a little more time to adjust. They probably have one of the deeper teams in the country so they're one of the few teams that can take that hit and still be competitive.

They were playing really well before he got hurt. Plus they have a ton of experience.
