Player A is an athletic freak with pogo sticks for legs who can beat everyone else on the floor to the rim with the ball in his hand and jump halfway out of the gym.
Player B is none of these things, but he can find a semi-circle on the floor, set up camp, hold onto his junk and fall down when Player A comes even remotely close to him.
Advantage: Player B, obviously.
Is there any other situation in sports where the rules (the way they are consistently interpreted, at least) skew in favor of the player doing the less athletic things?
