I agree but its like the NCAA are coming down hard on UofL and i get that, but UNC is far worse and nothing is ever really said.

Of course, the obvious question is: Why were UK fans SO excited to get him even before it was announced? I vividly recall the excitement on this board at that time. I also recall a few posters being upset and leaving.

Having said that, your point is valid that it is hard to overlook 2 vacated seasons and for message board posters to just assume he was a blatant cheater would be par for the course. But, if I am listening to someone on the radio discuss that coach publicly, I would expect that person to be well informed. Thus, for MJ to change his mind once he did some elementary research clearly indicates that he was negligent and irresponsible at that time.

I agree with that, but didn't MJ say he was wrong about Cal? I think that is better than all the ones that refuse to admit that they had it wrong.
Look, we all know Matt is a rah rah guy, he's not Jim Rome or Mike Lupica, but he's no different than anyone else on this board, yet we trash him for saying the same things we would say if we had the same position. At least he's putting it out there knowing the BBN will roast him no matter what he says.

He really isnt wrong too much on UK stuff and thats really what we are hete for..when he goes political i tune out
