I seem to struggle the most when I over expect...

I've gotten the "elite team" stuff out of my system and I realize now that we're a pretty good team with a high ceiling.

Been trying to look for the positives and not dwell on the negatives as much.

So In other words no game discussion unless it's 100% ra ra 100%Cal is perfect, if UK loses blame officiating now matter how they play. I agree we don't need negative post just to be negative, but this is a discussion board and differing opinions happen. Questioning or doubting a strategy or bad play/coaching is part of it and not necessarily negative.

When I was younger I use to crawl into a hole for a week after any loss. Would not read the paper, I would not watch ESPN and I would not watch another teams game until the next time we won. As I got older I mellowed now I am only mad for two days. :)

I started the year expecting this team to be behind '12, '15, and '10. Potentially could catch '10.

Considering that two other teams behind those three made the Final Four, not a bad place to be.

I still think that's about right. Get healthy, hopefully nab a top seed, and see what we can pull off.

Should be a good learning experience that will help in the tourney. Playing the hottest team in the conference on Gameday on the road. Would be tough for an experienced team much less 4 fr starters. If we can win it look out. Just benefit from it no matter what. Didn't expect this team to go unscathed but a win tonight would be an unexpected step forward with illness and injuries recently. I feel pretty good about it and looking forward to it. Hope we get a fair whistle. Florida has been drilling teams lately. Don't think that happens tonight.

Oklahoma and Mizz are way way down this year...you can throw both those out

Be nice if we had a poster that had an avatar with Oddball preaching against negativity.

There are some posters in the game thread that would complain during the first half at LSU in 96.

I was on assignment in Louisiana for that game and four LSU fans invited theirselves over to my room to watch the game. It was pure hell the first half and at half time they left to go down to the bar to reload. They came back up whooping and hollering and call us ***** cats. You can imagine what happened when we took the lead.

They were down 86-41.

I'm gonna be good tonight , I expect us to play poorly , so if I get a pleasant surprise ... good for us , and me. Thats a polar opposite to expecting us to play well and looking like garbage ( UT and Kansas)

I challenge you Carp boy and other Hitler youth not to bring me into the discussion

ROFLMAO. Wonderful!

Don't bring you into your discussion? You aren't a 404, I was wrong.

That's a 'no connection available'.

I am only negative when we lose games we shouldn't. Like at UT or a home game. Tonight's game could go either way, I just hope the Cats play well and improve. You can do that and still lose.

Agree and accepted. Honestly a little disappointed in myself for some negativity, especially towards Cal, since the ut game.

When you play like Kentucky has the last three games, there will be negativity.
