3 Straight Games OOB Call

This is the third straight game where an obvious out of bounds call was given to UKs opponents at crucial moments.

UT, KU and UGA all got the call with more than 2 minutes to go, so it couldn't be reviewed.

Luckily this on was overcome and we won, but the one against KU was back breaking, UT stalled a run we were making too.

Something needs to be done to fine or fire these guys. Or at least use replay. If ESPN can show it 5 times before the next lay, there should be a replay official who can see the same.

You could have an OOB call for every game over the last 7 years and some posters still wouldn't think anything of it. Yet, we all know full well how corrupt the NCAA is.. I'm not sure why people think that can't permeate down to the officiating level (even if they are hired by a separate body)

It happens but then you also have to look at all the situations where the call may have went our way. For instance, Monk traveled on the shot that tied the game last night if you watch the replay. In the end you just hope it all balances out.

Cats also caught a break when Briscoe knocked it out of bounds but refs didn't over turn it.

It goes both ways.

You know what we really need though? Definitely another thread complaining about officiating. That would be great

You know what we also don't need, anymore non-UK fans than we already have. Please go back to your own team's board. The majority of us see right through your negative, sky-is-falling, teamx-is-better-than-Kentucky nonsense.

in a close game like last night I would like for them to be able to go to the monitors to get it right, but in blow out games where it really would not make a difference the last 2 minutes is fine

Briscoe did not knock that ball out of bounds. It went off the Georgia players knee which was also the original call.

I think they need to go to so type of challenge system as the poster above mentioned.
Why is a turnover more important in the last two minutes? It is only magnified at that point in the game. I turnover at the 10 minute mark could prove to be just as important.

Anything under the last TV timeout under 4 minutes should be looked at if review is necessary.

Hate when analysts and people say reviewing plays takes away from the flow of the game. Yeak, ok, would you rather them not review and get the call wrong costing a team a win? Just review it and get it right, even if it is at the expense of the flow of the game.

Or just limit the reviews.. you can do two a game and one each for a coach, after that, that's it. It keeps the flow going and allows coaches to turnover horrendous calls.

Basketball is a game of the runs and momentum. It's not like other sports where 1 bad call probably won't make a difference. You get a bad call in basketball that could be worth a 5-pt wing.. and that can change the entire dynamic.

They really need to fix officiating. Hold refs accountable, start to work reviews in, and the SEC needs to stop favoring the home team. That KILLS a powerful school like Kentucky, and it seems to burn us quite often.

I thought the play where Georgia got that steal and had a fast break, but they said he stepped out of bounds after gaining control was a little questionable too. The replay was a bad angle, but sure looked in to me. It does work both ways folks, they're human and the game is very fast.

Theoretically, in the last 2 minutes, you have less time to overcome significant referee ineptitude.

However, refs do what they can to mess us over in the moments just preceding the final 2 minutes, because they know it can't be overturned.

Roger Ayers fits this mold. And agreed with the other posters. The ball was not off Brisco it went off the knee of the other player so they got that one right.

I think we should have replays for the last 5 minutes, not just 2.

Also agree with the idea of challenge flags

Jakarii isn't a UK fan. The poster made a point. You come on here and people always crying about the refs. Refs didn't keep the game close last night. The OOB where it was questionable of Briscoe hitting off the dude's knee or not...hell I couldn't tell that one when it was in slow-mo. Luckily the refs called it in our favor and didn't see enough evidence to overturn it. You just like to complain about refs.

I'm not the only one who's questioning the calls. I also haven't started any threads on it. But I also don't GAF what the three of you think. It's the same crap every time, it's not hard to see JF root against Kentucky and constantly tell us how scary other teams are.

Why not the ENTIRE game? In college football, if I'm thinking correctly, every borderline play such as an in bounds or out of bounds catch or possible fumble is seen on replay and they send word to the head official that it needs to be reviewed. Play is stopped throughout the entire game to make sure critical game changing plays are not missed. Why can't college bball have that?

Posters like are difficult because every time we don't blow the other team out, it is the ref's fault. The refs did not play a material role in the game last night. We played like crap. Our starting center played 5 minutes in the 1st half. And before you say it, I am a long time UK fan, season ticket holder, etc. I just don't look at everything through blue tinted entitled glasses.

Kind of like when Briscoe was bumped from behind which led to a TO and a transition 3 at the other end.

No doubt we get that one. Maybe the UConn one the year before as well. Would love to have a challenge on their flops.

That picture still makes me twitch. That was definitely the hardest I ever took a UK loss
