Def possible.. He's the real deal.. Was my favorite recruit.. His hustle and moxie have saved us from two losses now. And that jumper? Ooweeee!

I know it's a longshot.. But I wouldn't count him out of being a lotto pick. He's the real deal. Effort, defense, NBA size.. And if he keeps going off offensively.. He's definitely a young prospect you roll the dice on.

Considering he isn't even listed in either round in the latest mock, I highly doubt he's even a 1st rounder.

Time for things to change, but there is a heck of a lot of good basketball players out there, including a lot of international guys.

Not likely he is a lotto pick. It would help for him to come back and get stronger. That would give him a better chance to stay in the league. I could see him in the middle of the second round if he continues to improve.

Those mocks will change drastically. They very well might not have included Gabriel because aa of a week ago, he was a lock to come back.

I'll tell you this, being a Rockets fan who always seems to draft 14-18th.. Picks that rarely amount to any thing.. Id certainly grab Wenyen if he continues these performances.

As crazy as it sounds.. He'll start to show up on the draft boards soon.

Is Gabriel going on a cruise or maybe overseas to visit relatives?

Truth is, if he continues to play at the pace he has the last couple games then yes he will be gone and a first round pick, but I don't expect that from him and it's unfair for anyone else to either. There is a long way to go in the season and anything can happen.

His body right now and height scream tweener. Hes 6'10 average pf size maybe above average. Yet his body isn't close to being developed he's below average body type for a sf. So yes he's a tweener between the 3/4 in the NBA and hasn't established a place he could play on any NBA team

I don't see him playing PF no matter what, he'd have to gain a ton of weight. He's going to be a 6'10 match up nightmare on the 3 spot. Look at the Greek Freak.

Again, it's all on potential. He has a grade A work ethic, will be a top-flight defender and can shoot. I'm assuming in this scenario that he keeps up his performance, but if you're a team in the back portion of the draft, you grab this guy because in a year he's going to be in the lottery. There are far worse draft picks every year.

He's not a lottery pick this year, and by no means has he shown me he can shoot and consistently make the NBA 3 pt shot. If he comes back for another year and works on his body and shot(its a 3 game sample size you're so high on) I could see him being a top 10 pick

My feeling is if he hears enough he will go. I don't blame him and I hope he gets what he needs. These are young men trying to do the best they can for their families. I wish him Good Luck.

He's absolutely able to be a serviceable 3pt shooter in the NBA. Keep in mind, he's a big.. Bigs don't always get going early on in the Cal offense.. Guards do. He started slow as he adjusted. He's draft worthy tomorrow whether you like it or not.

Too many Kentucky fans don't watch the NBA. I get it.. It kind of sucks. Too many games, not as much passion. But the NBA is where these kids aspire to go, not Lexington. It would you a service to understand the league and realize Gabriel is perfect for it.

I have to agree. Right now he is playing good ball but I agree he needs to work on his body to play in the NBA. Another year will do wonders for him.

He still has a lot to work on, especially down low and defending - hands need to get softer. But, the potential is amazing and his work ethic is second to none.

Well, if he and Derrick continue to improve that's good news the rest of the way.

He averages 6 & 6 for UK right now. At this moment he's not a lotto pick. Best case scenario today he would be late 1st round

If he continues to play like has, I think it will definitely be an option. Would love for him to consistently make shots and rebound. Makes UK even more dangerous. It's a win-win for Gabriel and UK if his play continues this way.
