How did Pastner fail up to Georgia Tech? He's an NBA stint away from Kiffin status.

Nova goes down on the road at Butler...

Even in their two wins against DePaul and Creighton, they haven't looked impressive. And the Big East is pure liquid ****.

What a stupid take, all around. No team in the country would be expected to win back 2 back at Creighton & Butler. #stolen

The Big East has 4 legit top 15'ish teams, and will likely get 6+into the dance. Who are they liquid **** compared to?

Nova's loss means as much as UCLA's loss at Oregon...which is not at all.

Just curious if any of the college basketballs on here know enough about those rankings to say... as we play these craptastic SEC teams are we destined to drop in the Kenpom even if we beat them all by 30-40 points?

Prayers up for Doc. I can't imagine how I'd feel if a house near mine burned down. Let us know if you need anything.

Nope.

Nova is legit, but have more than a few o_O games against teams they should have rolled, struggling against W. Michigan (KenPom 231), La Salle (KenPom 105), UCF (KenPom 77) and DePaul (KenPom 177)). I don't think they've been impressive --- maybe fringe top 5 at this point.

Looking down the line at Butler, Xavier, and Creighton...definitely solid NCAA-T teams. Butler has a legitimate resume for a Top 15 team with good wins were over Zona, Cincy, and Indiana. But Xavier's and Creighton's resumes are pretty unimpressive...Xavier's biggest win is Clemson and Creighton's best win is Wisconsin. Overall, the entire conference has five total OOC wins against the KenPom Top 25.

So, you truly believe that 2+ of these squads are NCAA-T teams: Marquette, Seton Hall, St. John's, Providence, Georgetown, and DePaul?

Since Mags has abandoned his podcast, he should sponsor a GYERO pod in TruHoop formate. That pod is essentially the audio nba media's form of this thread.

Snow day!

Been working the holidays...glad the rest of the world decided to work again. Time to get **** done.

Need new tires on both my minivan and truck. Any suggestions? Don't want to break the bank, but we've had a ****** bumpy ride on both for the last 50k miles.

Obama awarded himself a Distinguished Public Service Medal yesterday. For real. o_O

Thought Bam looked really good the other night. His footwork has improved tenfold. Still don't know what Gabriel does but he's tall and athletic. Waves his arms a lot. Wouldn't mind seeing Bam and Humphries get some run together for 5 minutes a game to see what they can do...if the matchup is right.

College playoff over 4 teams would be a joke. You could have had 32 teams in a playoff this season, and the final 2 teams standing would've been Alabama and Clemson. Seems like that is the case in most years...the best teams will rise to the top. Do we really need to watch Alabama vs. Western Michigan?

Is BBdK going to vape now that he's quit smoking?

Miss SAE. Thoughts are with you buddy.

On tires, I usually check some online ratings and go w/ known name. Michelin all-season, etc. The extra few $$ (to me) make up for the frustration of having a crappy ride for a year or more due to a bum tire. Don't go generic on tires & toilet paper ATKOT.

-Rothstein said yesterday that Gabriel was a Liggins type versatile defender. I guess he was talking about Liggins freshman year.

-One of the posters back in the day, ohiocat IIRC, was a tire guy. Not sure if he still lurks.

-Winter!! Actually I'm cool with it. Enough with this tween ****. Either get cold or get on with Spring.

-8:30 Sat game? I much prefer the 3-4:00 spots.

No tire expert, but aren't your options pretty limited? And standardized?

You give them your car, and they give you a list of what fits. Usually there's some wackass, dirt cheap off brand, several medium priced ones, and a ridiculous performance tire or two.

I recommend asking the experts at the tire store, as they do this for a living. Good luck!!!

Got to tire rack, pop in your ride/specs and peruse the reviews on the tires available. A few will stick out as the best. Find the ones you want, call a couple different tire places to get quotes, choose the best. Enjoy.

Worked perfectly for my last several tire changes. Ensures a top 3 tire at the best price you'll be able to get without putting them on yourself.

It's ****** here. Took the wife to her CE this morning. When I got home I slid off my driveway pad and ended up in the back yard. Had the truck in park, but it started going and there was basically nothing I could do. It stopped short of any trees. Made a nice mess in the yard getting out.

The state announced changes to the road plan a few weeks back. A lot of roads that were typically taken care of or treated in advance were downgraded in priority. Roads are a lot worse from this little snow this morning than people are used to dealing with in this type of storm.

Yes. North of town off the 129 Exit. The snow starts at about the Horse Park. The snow gets a little heavier right at Georgetown. It's pretty messy by the time you get just north of Georgetown. The ground is covered at my house.

The Grayson Allen thing is a joke as we all knew it would be. I guess the supersquad talk will start back up after they trucked Georgia Tech last night. But Georgia Tech is pretty bad and I'm not sure even how UNC lost to them really. There are 12 **** SEC teams, not named Kentucky, higher in the Kenpom and NKU is only 10 spots below them.
