It's not the ONLY difference. It was one of several key reasons we did not win tonight though. If we don't let UL get one of those last offensive rebound scores, we win. If we hit one of the plethora of wide open 3 pointers, we win. If we make 20/29 FTs (68.9%), that is our team average and we still lose by 2 points. So the FT argument is flawed there as well, but you can then just ***** about why we should shoot better from the line overall so I'll grant all of you that ahead of time.

A lot went wrong. We still settle for bad shots too quickly and on nights like this where we don't make them the offense struggles.

We don't have the steady leadership of Ulis. Fox is either dominating or reckless. Tonight he was reckless.

Briscoe is not a SF in my opinion. I love the 3 guard lineups but he's not really a 3rd guard. He needs to battle with Fox for minutes.

Mulder should move into the 3rd guard spot. Willis I guess at the 4 so we have 4 shooters on the outside opening things up for the drive or for Bam.

Defense and rebounding have to improve big time. There's no point in doing anything else if that stays as bad as it is right now.

Again, UK makes one more FT and they shoot their season average. Expecting them to surpass that in a rivalry game on the road in the first road game for most of our rotation is a bit unrealistic if you ask me. Plus, as another poster stated, Bam was the issue for our lower percentage overall.

So again, if UK shoots its percentage they still lose by 2. If they hit 76% the game goes to OT. UL only shot 75%.

Not the percentage, but it was when the free throws were critical--- and those were missed! Even Cal acknowledged that!

Missing 5 free throws with about a minute to go was a difference too.

Sometimes, when you make your free throws late, you don't get as many attempts as you do when you miss them.
