You know his teammates mock him relentlessly. To his face, even.

Gets taken off the bounce by his man...

"BURNED, NOT GIVEN!!!"

They see him doing homework on the plane...

"LEARN, NOT GIVEN!!!"

Refuses to speak up in practice, even when he knows the answer...

"TACITURN, NOT GIVEN!!!"

His girlfriend gives him a houseplant as a gift...

"FERN, NOT GIVEN!!!"

I bet those guys just love giving him the business.

Started the day off in the bubbly.

Lunch at Blue door-brisket was on point. Football coaches were in the house.

Spent most of the afternoon at Jeep dealership. Lease is coming up, think I may buy it just to piss PTI off.

Got the sister a TV at bestbuy (shhh its a secret you guys) some good deals out there.

330 for a Tuesday-yup.

Poker game tonight :fire:

It's too bad Gatewood died. He could've made a real difference in the current climate.

So this Wake Forrest deal is f*cking weird. Started with UL stealing the playbooks and ended with the Play-by-play announcer, who is a former player and coach at Wake, giving the other teams the information. WTF?

Murray is such a fascinating player. Maybe not the most explosive athlete but he's like a magician with the rock. Think he's going to be a fantastic pro.

Look at this stuff...

 Trademarked this move at LAC (Lexington) YEARS ago, about time some one picked it up. In all sincerity, I'm surprised it's not used more. Perfect way to cut down the lane where the defender has almost zero shot of getting to the ball.

I probably would've hit that guy tbh. I think I'm at that point with humanity.
This is where I'd just pick the guy up over my shoulder and carry him outside for being the baby that he is. Really, unfair to push his beliefs on other people at the expense of children, especially when some of those parents believe in Jesus about as much he believes in Santa. That was just a REALLY selfish and asinine act.

-Main bud that I've been going out to Steamboat with the last 3 years fell out of a tree today and broke his tib/fib. Colorado is already all paid for...

Re: Predict outcome of UNC vs Kentucky

3 keys to UNC winning...

1. Shoot decent...doesn't have to be great, but a helluva lot better than the other night.

2. Guard Monk on the perimeter.

3. Slow down their playground ball. They struggle in half-court sets, rarely look inside, and will settle for jump shots.

Huh? Totally unnecessary move. Just keep driving with the left is the play. This is just a hot dog for show move and he's taking an unnecessary chance at getting the ball stolen or turning it over. I love it but it's not a perfect way to cut down the lane.

I mean, he's not wrong. They will probably kill us on the glass. He should have mentioned that. It would have been at the top of the list for me. If Berry doesn't play, then I think we win because they will struggle with 1 & 3. The playground ball is a byproduct of forcing turnovers.

Let me rephrase, it's a perfect way to split two defenders to head down the lane. That's typically when I used it. You are correct, in that situation he did it because he could.

True, but the "playground ball" thing rings hollow from a UNC fan. They try to go as fast as anybody, and UK is more efficient (both offensively and defensively) than the Heels.

(Not pictured: In the next post, a UNC fan added "4. Make sure you aren't in the building pretending to be a Tar Heel.")

Is there ever a good time to lease a vehicle?

My dumbass stepdad just leased one based on advice from his financial advisor when discussing his retirement. Dumbest **** I ever heard, but he isn't profiting from it and sold it better than the car salesman.

-props to BBdK for the nicest house in Fairdale, impressed:100points:

- F elf on a shelf! At least my role in that stupid game is to threaten to kick him out if he keeps the **** up which works well and the kids eat it up. The lass has ideas for days on that nonsense.

-Always loved the UNC rivalry, but this year it seems pretty meh. Not concerned with them at all, and mostly because they seem built like a team that our athleticism will be too much for their 1-2 advantages to overcome.

Had 2 tickets to UK/A&M setting on my desk from a vendor today. Looking forward to seeing the updates to Rupp.

Whispers- Easter Bunny On The Shelf
"Mule on the Newel"

All it will take is a little astroturfing to convince people that "Big Donkey" got their hands on the Palm Sunday story to favor their animal over the historically accurate mule. Then everything else will fall into place.

Along the same lines of OMG WEED, Saw an article on the new mega Vegas-Style MGM that just opened in the DC area (Maryland). Place is insane..

...of note in the article, the state of Maryland has averaged over 500 Million Per Year in revenue sharing since their casino bill or whatever passed in 2010...and more recently nearing 100M per month, and that's before the opening of their crown jewel. This casino/resort ALONE created 10,000 jobs if you count the construction & other peripheral jobs involved.

Meanwhile, Horse Gambling, Bourbon, and Tobacco based Kentucky keeps letting money pour across the river to Ohio and Indiana . [laughing]:weary:[eyeroll]

God forbid a state based on vices allow casino gambling, shew wee, that would just be terrible & unethical. Plus, we are a rich state so we don't really need any extry funds. Still have to think an extra few hundred million dollars per year would do us some good, jmo.

Maryland is the most affluent state in the country, we are the 47th. They are just about recession proof since they are essentially funded by our tax dollars.

I like your argument, but I wanted to point out: F*** Maryland.

Looks like the Wake announcer had been giving out the playbook well before the Louisville game.

Also means that it's likely Louisville - or at least some members of Louisville's staff - did see it before the game, despite their denials.

Bizarre story.

I guess maybe he was trying to get the staff fired or sabotaged. UL wasn't the only one. interested to see how that goes.

-some tax advantages to leasing for small businesses. seem to be pretty equivalent with buying in our experience but I have a buddy that is intelligent and leases a luxury vehicle through his biz.

-we live in a good ol boy state. We'll be that way for our lifetime. this is decades of corruption in the state burying any hope of rising above. good thing is most of us here have made enough of our situation that we can enjoy the vices we chose without KY holding us back. plus it's a great place to live from a number of aspects even with our misguided history.
