-Christmas time, love it. All the palm trees are lit and our house is looking amazing just in time for the lighted parade tonight which starts right in front of my house. Have the xmas tree all lit up for the season and in the front window. Don't worry the U.K. Flag is still flying out front with lights around it. Feeling jolly.

-Parasiling is scary as f#%k. There is so much going on as a captain it's insane. Enjoy expanding my abilities and whatnot though. Life is about growing and getting out of your comfort zone imo.

-Damien Harris just got his neck spun...ugh. Looked bad but that kid is goooooooood.

-Got crushed for saying pump the "breaks" last week but I honestly felt all the hurry up and beat us talk was crazy. Had a couple buds here that were on cloud 9 and thought I was mad for saying we hadn't played anyone just yet.

We've got a great squad gang, real happy with my team at this point. It's not about 40-0s obviously, it's about titles.

"Almost" feel sorry for Florida. Gutsy move with the fake on the punt. Too bad Bama just anihlated that, along with the rest of the game.

Roll Tide, get us the Gator Bowl. :)

Bam was 4/12. Pretty unacceptable since he rarely shoots from outside 2 feet.

Briscoe 4/14. Since half his FGA at least should be layups, that's not gonna work. Three TO on baseline and crying to refs was weak.

Humphries 0/2. Feels like both were good offensive rebounds followed by forced shots, rather than kicking it out.

Weird game. Bad defensively. Got beat on boards. UCLA hit a lot of shots and looked like the better team. Liked the fight to cut it to 3 late.

Not sure this was much of a recipe to beat us. How many teams will have such a dynamic PG, mixed with several scorers, including bigs that can pop jumpers all day?

Losses at home suck. Out of the big 4 games, I'd least like losing (in order) to: UofL, KU, UNC, UCLA.

I'm sure most of this has been said already, but just finished the 250 mile ride home:

*Had pretty good uppers center court. UCLA moved the ball about as perfectly as a team can today. Open man, open shot, all day long.

*Alford is an annoying little *****. Thought he got away with several pushoffs.

*Was already worried about that UNC game, but damn, I'm afraid their experienced big guys will give us fits. Humphries might have to start getting more clock with Bam just to give some help inside. Gabriel and Willis didn't provide much help in that regard at all today.

*Thought Mulder should have gotten some PT today when Briscoe and Fox got into a bit of foul trouble.

*Waited too late to prioritize Monk's outside looks.

*Defense and rebounding, sucked.

*Crowd was great. Really, really sucks walking out with an L in these big games.

The good news is that we won't play a team as offensively talented as UCLA the rest of the year. They're a damn good team, period.

I've had the stomach virus since Thursday speaking from a position of knowledge it is indeed terrible.

Goodbye Verne  SEC on CBS won't be the same for me. It's all I've known and just feels right.

I know.

I didn't get too upset today. UCLA played out of their *** and we all see a ton of room for this young team to improve.

Dayton, OH sucks. I've never spent any time here, except for a one game visit for a baseball tournament as a 16 year old. #blessed

Seriously. Depressing place.

Convention center is old and run down. People aren't friendly. The hotel we're staying at is dated and the food at the rooftop lounge is rewarmed frozen stuff. Even the McDonalds in town served me a flat Coke Zero.

Told my Dad at the first tv timeout that something felt off. We seemed a little lethargic. The crowd was amped ready for one those special moments and I suppose the team got a little too fat and sassy after the Bahamas.

Seemed like UCLA got all of the 50/50 balls. Some
of that is right now we only have one rebounder in Bam but some of it was total effort.

If Willis doesn't shoot and hit 3's he's a total liability and brings nothing to the table.

Love Hawkins as much as the next Kentuckian but you can't tell me with a straight face he's a better overall basketball player than Michael Mulder. UCLA packed it in daring us to shoot 3's or the mid range and Mulder could've had so many open looks. Guess shooting FIFTY PERCENT from behind the arc won't suffice. This team needs shooters. Sorry he's not a 5 star future pro, Cal. He's is a fng sniper though. PLAY HIM.

Get SKJ some more minutes the next game. We need another big man that can rebound, block shots and score some to keep defense's honest. Humphries is a total liability against athletes and is not the answer.

SKJ was one of the names mentioned who had been sick, so that's possibly a reason why he didn't get any clock yesterday.

-Book of Mormon last night at KY Center for the Arts. I knew it lampooned Mormons but did not know anything else about it plot wise. Really, really funny.

-One of my wife's students sold her a hatchimal that his dad bought when he couldn't get the mini-NES. Things are going to 150+ and the guy sold it to her for what he paid for it at Target.

-New position at work, get to push off the **** cleanup on to someone else.

-Any change GEL starts again this year?

Not only was it heard on KSR, there were some posts on HOB about it. It was bubbling under the surface. Glad it got nipped in the bud before it had a chance to bubble over.

Anybody that knows our fan base, spends time on social media and listens to shows like KSR heard the 40-0 talk starting. If you believe it wasn't then you are the fvcking idiot.
